Last year St. X won both games and year before they split with each winning one. They play each other twice a year.
Trinity23
True…. However with it being this lopsided, I think it’s safe to say we may have another…. quick, Dawkins, Hatcher team…
fatsnbul
Depends who is coaching them. 2
EastSideJunkie
Total domination And the 10 that dress JV and varsity did not even play. Freshman class is deep and talented for Shamrocks and just the opposite at X

Roundsteak
StX better get back to its traditional ways of building its roster. What they are doing now just isn’t working.
LongTimeReader
Unfortunately, this outcome was expected this year. Trinity has a great freshmen class, and watching the video stream last night they definitely pass the eye test. Hopefully, this group of freshmen for the Tigers can stick with it and develop and improve each season. I think there could be some potential players in the group but think they have to have support around them and not be the "guys" of the team. new fan
Not sure what is meant by "traditional ways of building a roster" ? Trinity didn't win many, is any, freshman games last year, fired their freshman coach and hired a guy coaching an optimist team who brought a bunch of optimist kids with him. Is that a traditional approach? Kids on Trinity's freshman team last year are starting varsity this year. The team struggled but there was talent. Freshman develop, or don't. It's a game every one wants to win but its neither a crowning moment or the end of the world for the next 4 years. X's freshmen have some talent and hopefully it develops. Trinity's freshman talent is deep. But you never know what happens over 4 years.

What they are doing now just isn’t working. If you mean catholic school kids, that pool is dwindling. CSAA teams have consolidated and decreased over the years. Will be interesting next year, because when have a great class hard to sell playing time. These kids now days go where they are going to see the varsity field the fastest. Trinity varsity QB is freshman so how many QB's want to sit behind him for 3 years. St. X and Trinity will always get loyal Catholic school kids regardless but public school kids that have no allegiance going where they can play the fastest. new fan
Quite a few Catholic school kids have been playing optimist football because the CSAA is so poorly run. As an example, last year there were no officials scheduled for games on several Sundays including playoff games. The teams had to wait 2 hours for officials to show up at St X for the 8th grade semi finals. It was joke. No one apology to the parents and grandparents and there were no consequences. 1
SHAMROCK69
Fortunately, the Freshmen Rocks team may get things back to normal. Now if we can get a new Head Coach who understands play calling and clock management among other things. A little enthusiasm would also be nice. Go Rocks!!!!!
