I can remember this game being played at Manual Stadium in the late 60s

I was at that 67 game against Flagler. The game was played on a Sat afternoon at Manual Stadium in Louisville.

Sometimes 4 hours isn’t enough time between starting times. In 2009 Lone Oak - Boyle Co game started at 11:00 AM and wasn’t over until almost 3:00. Granted the game was high scoring and went into OT, you never know how long a game will last. The teams & fans for the 3:00 game couldn’t get into the stadium until the 11:00 game was over.

Dangling mouthpieces will soon be addressed similar to towels and streamers hanging from the waist. Mouthpieces will be required to be attached to the helmet and individual mouthpieces will be illegal. This will be controversial similar to the rule change that made single bar face masks illegal and the change that all chin straps be 4 point snaps

I don’t know much about this game but I’m looking forward to next year’s game when I finally get to watch a game at the historic MC venue. With a new turf surface things may have changed but I’m sure the Death Valley atmosphere should be everything I’ve heard about for years.

StX better get back to its traditional ways of building its roster. What they are doing now just isn’t working.

No excuse for not knowing the rules. Officials have rule books and should study the rules on their own. It’s a shame that no one on that crew knew the rule and unfortunately cost the team a win. Missed calls happen but there is no excuse for not knowing the rules.

This is a vintage Trinity defense. Most of the defensive starters have been playing together since they were freshmen. They have a goal to be in Lexington in December. THS wins 14-7 in OT.

The PA announcer is annoying. He hasn’t shut up all night.

For the last few year FC has come to X for preseason 7 on 7. Perhaps a way to repay FC.

If X couldn’t get pass the 2nd round last year, I doubt this year will be much better. The offense was terrible. They had their best QB playing WR. The defense couldn’t win every game for them. Trinity will be the team to beat this year.

May be a bit off subject but did Stonebraker at one time coach Jeffersontown HS in Louisville?

I can remember when KWC played their games at Apollo HS. They had constructed some type of adaptors to actually reduce the width of the goal posts from HS to college.

Some things change when teams play the second time in a season. One team appears overconfident while the other team is looking for revenge. However, I doubt X is overconfident but I do believe Male would sure like to spoil X’s championship hopes so revenge will be a motivating factor for them. This will be a real heavyweight matchup with Male’s speed challenging STX’s strength. I’ll go X 14 Male 10

I never thought I’d say this but I think Manual is too physical for Male. Defense wins this game. Manual 10-7.

Will the PRP QB be back after being injured in the StX game last week?

Haven’t seen BG this year and only seen X a few times. But I can see X trying to grind out a win on the ground without utilizing the passing game much. BG is going to get 4 quarters of X’s #1 defense. Even though this is Senior Night I can see X staying with their starters longer than most schools do on Senior Night. With Southern being their first round playoff opponent, most senior reserves will get their playing time in the Southern game. I’ll go X 28-7.
