Washburn for Manual is a stud. Quick, strong and great feet. It will be fun watching him develope in the future.

Not knowing who starts at QB for X, I'll say STX 17-6.

Before making a prediction on this game I will need to knowl who starts for STX at QB.

Noticed X is developing some pretty young depth especially at the skill positions. This bodes well not only for the playoffs but for future seasons.

Meeting place pre-game for ST X fans is Tim Tam Tavern. TTT is right across Poplar Level Rd on Clark's Ln. With a 7:00 kickoff, that should give you enough time after the game to get an after game snack and a few adult beverages. There is also a Chilie's on Poplar Level about a 1/2 mile from the school.

The CSAA catholic grade school league in Louisville has a team from Southern Indiana this year. I may be wrong but I believe there was a team from Indiana a few years back. I believe this is a feeder program for Providence HS in Clarksville.

The last 3 games for STX have been very emotionally draining. I would think it's safe to say the starters on both sides of the ball have played 90+% of the snaps. Ideally X would like to have a substantial halftime lead in order to give the starters a well deserved rest & give the reserves some varsity experience, especially with the Manual game the next week. You can't prevent injuries but why chance it if you have a big halftime lead. I'm sure X could name the score but I'll go X 45-7.

Nice win for St X and their alumni but their biggest game comes in 2 weeks against Manual. Loser of that game likely gets Male in the second round of the playoffs.

This SR class at STX has been a pretty close knit group for 4 seasons, so it would appear that they will give everything they have for this game. I believe they have a 4-1 record as a class (2-0 as FR, 1-1 as JV, and 1-0 as JRs). They are on a mission and I can't see them not giving their all for this game. I'll say STX 28-10.

Why the early morning practice? Heat related or a conflict with the soccer team practice on the field.

Wonder why Boone isn't punting? He showed a strong leg in the few times he punted last year and 2 years ago when he punted for the JV team.

Good opportunity for STX to work on their passing game and find some playmakers. It's tough when your best receiver is also your best answer at QB. Give the Jr QB the opportunity to get some confidence, which will pay off later in the season. X big 42-7

It will be missed. Another tradition that's gone away. From lack of coverage in the Louisville newspaper it's hard to keep up with scores and stats.

Hard to believe that Male still plays on grass. By the time the playoffs come around, their field is a mess. Can you image with their speed playing on artificial turf?

Have the dates and starting times been set for the championship games? I doubt if it will happen but I'd like to see the 6A game moved from Saturday night. I think moving the game to Friday night would make the attendance much better.

Congratulations to these young men. Out of the ~100 players that were on the 2019 freshman team these guys survived a lot of obstacles in 4 seasons to get where they are today. Overcoming a pandemic, canceled spring practice in 2020, off-season conditioning and weightlifting and 6:00 AM practices & workouts shows the character of these seniors. Whether you are a starter or a valuable reserve, run onto the field with your head held high and be proud of what you've accomplished.

Unless I overlooked them, I don't see either StX team in the pool play. I would think they dropped out because of the heat.

Has Mekhi Smith signed to play football next year? Being a 3 year starter at St X I thought he would get an opportunity to play college football but I haven't seen where he signed. Anyone know?
