#1 6A Saint Xavier (1-0) hosts 4A #6 Central (0-1).

St. X is coming off 28-14 win over 5A #2 Owensboro. St. X was led by QB Adam Boone who rushed for 96 yards and 1 td. He chipped in 31 yards through the air. RB Don'Tre Richardson rushed for 82 yards and 2 td's. In total the Tigers rushed for 231 yards against Owensboro.

St. X was led by Purdue commit DE Micah Carter who led the Tigers with 9 tackles. S Christian Coleman had 5 tackles with one for a loss. The Tiger defense held Owensboro to 1 TD and had a pivotal goal line stand keeping Owensboro from cutting the deficit to one score. The Tiger offense gave up one score via a pick 6 in the 1st quarter.

Central travels to ST. X after being defeated by 6A #4 Manual 40-12. Central was led by dynamic sophomore RB Cortez Stone who rushed for 123 yards and 1 td. Central had 118 total net yards against a stingy Manual defense.

Central was led on defense by S Andre Jackson who had 10 tackles. The Central defense was worn down by Manual giving up 40 points.

Last year, St. X defeated Central 30-6.

Will ST. X get their 14th straight win or will the Yellow Jackets sting the Tigers?

Good opportunity for STX to work on their passing game and find some playmakers. It's tough when your best receiver is also your best answer at QB. Give the Jr QB the opportunity to get some confidence,  which will pay off later in the season.
