Saint Xavier (4-1) hosts Ryle (3-2) after defeating Trinity 13-8. Ryle is coming off an open week after high scoring game against Highlands the week before.

St. X has a stout defense and hasn't given up a touchdown against 6A powers Male and Trinity. The St.X offense while not dominating has used big plays to get the job done and scored on two big pass plays against Trinity to get the win. Ryle has played well with close losses to Lexington Catholic and Highlands. Ryle's best win is a 23-7 win over Daviess County. Last year St. X won 13-3. Game is at 7:00.

Does St. X get the win or does Ryle pull the upset?

Last year against St. X, LB Gabe Savage had 17 tackles and LB Jackson Belk had 14 tackles. Both those guys graduated so can see why their defense not as good this year.

Exactly!

And they appear to be a step slow this year too.  Highlands exposed the Ryle D.

And only points were Summer Dennigan, girl kicker and now soccer player at Florida State.

The last 3 games for STX have been very emotionally draining. I would think it's safe to say the starters on both sides of the ball have played 90+% of the snaps. Ideally X would like to have a substantial halftime lead in order to give the starters a well deserved rest & give the reserves some varsity experience, especially with the Manual game the next week. You can't prevent injuries but why chance it if you have a big halftime lead.

I'm sure X could name the score but I'll go X 45-7.
