Welcome to the site Superman23! Those 2 seniors that missed the game would not have made a difference, the team actually played under control. My question is where are the big kids at Grant, why are they not playing basketball, surelly in a high school of 1400 that they have some kids that are 6'5" & bigger wondering the hallways.

Congrats to the Bearcats, they have put together a pretty impressive streak lately. The future looks real bright for them.

How is this the 9th Region Freshmen Tournament, Simon Kenton is in the 8th region for the last 2 years.

Just that visiting teams fans no matter whom the home team is feels as if they get cheated by the officials. I think teams get an identity, such as aggressive and hustling all over the place and officials will call the game accordingly.

Let me ask was this game played at Gallatin County, if so that explains the horrible officiating. Take nothing away from Gallatin County, they are very deep, talented and aggressive. Congrats to the Wildcats & Bearcats.

My nephew who is a Freshman runs for Lloyd Memorial, he finished 21st in the State Boys Class AA yesterday. This is his first year running CC, I thought that was an impressive performance. I was down at the horse park and watched the Class A & Class AA Boys & Girls race and then we took off to go over to the UK/ Vandy football game. The conditions for the Class A Boys * Girls race were bad, raining, cold & windy but they improved as the day moved on. Congrats go out to everybody that competed out there.

I hope all of the South Oldham players/ coaches are putting all this garbage about being up big and playing the freshman team up on the bullentin board and South Oldham Dragons come in with a chip on their shoulder and pull out a victory.

That pretty much sums up the Braves in my eyes, the defense lacks in fundamentals and that hurts them by giving up 15- 20 yard plays that should be shut down at the line of scrimmage for little or no gain. I'll say Dragons 35- Braves 14.

I'm glad that somebody realized that it was just a good way to get laugh on Friday the 13th. My prediction is GC 7 Highlands 64.

Is Brent Bishop playing this game? They took him out on a stretcher in the game against Campbell County last week. Ryle wins big and SK is elimanated from the playoffs.

Newport wins big in this game if they can get their offense going, if not it could come down to whomever has the ball last. Grant's offense put up some impressive numbers against Owen County 2 weeks ago and then they came back and played a solid game against Leslie County last week.

Only 1 kid that scored in the Grant County/ Trimble County game was a Freshman from Grant County. The kids that played the majority of the time for Grant County in the JV game also play/start the majority of time in Grant County's Varsity games.

IMO- Pretty classless move from the Grant County side, leaving all of your starters in until 1 minute to go in the 4th quarter and still passing. When you pull stuff like that, it is usually when a kid ends up hurt from somebody on the losing team taking a cheap shot.

Grant County's biggest problem for all sports including football is having a revolving door for coaches. That is due to the school administration not wanting any para professionals or teachers that are not teaching at the high school full time to do anything with coaching at the high school. They have the athletes to compete in every sport, just need the support of the administration.

I just checked NCH's website and they have removed that statement off of it, on a side note they are supposed to have a celebration of winning the DIII state championship with the mayor in the High School Gymnasium tonight @ 7:00 PM.

NCH has a policy that when a student is suspended they can continue to do their work and it will count, sorta defeats the purpose of the suspension if you ask me. It gives the kids the freedom to do whatever they want and potentialy have whomever they want do the school work for them.

IMO, I think that it was due to work ethic, at times he just disappears while out there on the court.
