Big Game Player Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Al Hollon is without question a top coach in Ky. Too many big wins and to consistant not to be considered.

larrylegend Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Kirk Chiles at Henry Clay, Billy Hicks of Scott County, Tony Hopper at Apollo, Alan Hatcher at Graves. That's a few good ones.
MountainThunder Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Coach Wright at South Laurel is another dandy coach Coach Spurlock at Hazard is a good one as well
Beta Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 Who are the top head coaches still coaching in Ky? What about Ron Bevers at N. Hardin? How long has he been around and what is his record?

RA09 Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Matthew Perry at Morgan Co. In the last 5 years he has turned that program around. Tim Riley of Warren Centeral has to be considered. If im not mistake hasnt he taken the 4th region crown the last 4 years. Correct me if I am wrong.
MountainThunder Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 What about Ron Bevers at N. Hardin? How long has he been around and what is his record? Has to be very good and he belongs on the list.
sports scoop Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Coach Wright at South Laurel is another dandy coach Coach Spurlock at Hazard is a good one as well Spurlock??????????????? Please
MountainThunder Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Spurlock??????????????? Please I am not saying that he is the best. I think Holland at PCC is better, Wright at SL is better, etc. However, getting Hazard back to the Sweet 16 when noone thought they were talented enough says he is pretty good. Winning an average of over 22 games of the past 4 seasons is not bad either. But if I had an opening for a HS head coach and he applied, I would definitely be very interested. His best player this year was an undersized PG (Justin Hicks) and while Hicks is a great player, Hazard would not have been in the dance withouth Spurlock this season IMHO.
RA09 Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Also, Allen Feldhouse Jr. is a good coach at Madison Central.
thegame523 Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 I have to agree with all mentioned above, but I think 2 guys that never get enough credit are Chris Renner who took a team with basically no returning impact players and played the state champions to their closest game throughout the playoffs. Also state champion coach Jeff Morrow has had several outstanding years in a row, and finally capped those off with a state championship.
