Why would coach Carmony want to leave J-town for Butler?

Has the recent success of Warren East put any pressure on Warren Central? What has been the key to this past couple of years. Is it offensive system, great players, coaching or all of the above?

I also want to add Mercer as another school to this post. Basically it is interesting to see how the success of Mercer, Boyle and Danville have really caused Lincoln to have to step up to keep up. We all know of Lincoln's successful past. With French revamping that program and jumping to Boyle it has forced Lincoln to make a serious committment to their football program to attract the best coach for their situation. I just want to thank all the great players and coaches that have played and coached at these schools over the years for making football so special in the area. Now question is when is Garrard County going to take a major step forward? I would also include Casey in this question. This question has nothing to do with coaches or who the coaches are. We all probably know how successful garrard has been at times. But imo they are not at the level of the other programs any more. I asking for some thoughts about why or what needs to happen for Garrard to come up another level. I am thinking improving facilities etc.. Any thoughts?

Very good points. But, i wonder why the admin. at Morgan won't go out and let a guy like Coach Turner get a couple of coaches that can help the program. Also, to blame last years staff for the many issues that Morgan co. had and will continue to have is not fair. Wood left for a reason. What was it? He did a good job; won games etc. Did they do anything to let him know how much he was appreciated? Not pointing the finger just wondering what they did to convince him to stay?

Who is the frontrunner for the job at this point? I heard they have already started interviews? Does anyone know?

Morgan's administrations reputation, including all the above mentioned, is so damamged around the coaching community i don't know how they will convince anyone to come there and deal with no facilities, no help, a principal and super that won't do anything for the football program. Brian Turner - resigned after beginning to turn the program around Reason: refusal by admin. to hire any asst. coaches that can teach. among other things. Randy Wood - resigned after taking them to the best season ever. But was still without a locker room, weight room etc. The other coaches quit or backed out because they saw the same things. I hate that the admin. there at Morgan cares so little about their athletes! Whatever reason anyone comes up with to excuse the complete disregard for the kids at morgan by admin. will not be able to justify the lack of caring imo.:irked: I hope it works out for the sake of the kids.

Cooksey seems like a good person and coach. I hope he continues to be a part of Fairview football in some capacity. Good luck coach and good luck to the new coach and team.

Will Nate run the wing-t or spread?

I think they shoud go after Foley from Frankfort or the coach at Franklin County. Both do a good job.

They would both be excellent choices. I think Deskins is a very good coach that we don't hear much about. A proven winner. This would be good news for Butler if either is the choice. :jump::ylsuper:

I have been hearing a new name the last couple of days but can't reveal it at this time due to the fact that he is currently a head coach in Louisville and doesn't want it out to his team unless it becomes necessary. I will say this: this person knows how to win and has been winning! :jump:

The gave up 67 points to Western last season. I don't think they could have beaten Valley, Fairdale or Western this past year!! They have a lot of work to do. Either way all the city 6A schools with the exception of Male in the past and future are playing for second best as long as they have to go up against Trinity and St. X. imo

What do you mean by out of control? Players or coaches? Please explain. What is Rowan's overall record this year? Thanks.

It's funny to watch things come to full circle as they say sometimes. I remember when Garrard hired this coach they made some bumper stickers that said " The Pride is Back" and acted as though the last coach didn't have pride (by the way he was a former Garrard player and his teams played in the district with Boyle (5 time state champions) Danville (11 time State champions) and Bourbon (1997 state champions). No doubt the toughest district in the state at the time. But some people just didn't think the coach was doing a good job. Now here we are and the currrent guy is under attack. His schedule is much weaker etc. Nothing personal (that's why i am not using names) but my point is: It is perfect picture of what coaching can be like. Thanks for reading I'm out.

There should be improvement in strength. This is the first year of having an organized weight program (including speed and jump development) for several years. The players are getting stronger and improving quickly. Western lost several key players off 2006 squad. Larry Williams is the newly hired coach. He will focus on the QB's and passing game. I think he is the son of a coach from Male and has himself coached at Male one time or another.

This is what i love about Bluegrass Preps. The die-hard fans. Would today be 208!

??????????? Just courious (not meant to be negative) but why so much information about yourself? You have obviously been around some good football at Lex. Cath. You don't have to justify your career for anyone. You have been to the top. What a steal for Lawrence Co. Will you be living in Louisa again? I hope you guys go all the way. With you calling the offense i know things will only improve in this powerful program. :jump:

15 fumbles or bobbled snaps by Western. 5 were lost to Washington Co. One set up the winning score. Western also fumbled the ball at the end and threw pick inside the 10 the drive before. The last fumble ended the possible game winning score for Western. Just wasn't Western's night and Washington hung around and pulled out a great win for them. :thumb:
