Does anyone know anything about Western (Louisville)? I just heard a few days ago that their HC has just added a Williams person to his staff as the OC. I tried to call my buddy at Male to see if this was the same guy as his son but can not get a hold of him.

I know Western is usually loaded with speed and did well last year but thats about it. Anyone else have any info on them pertaining to what they are like or personnel changes/additions?

Would appreciate it. Thanks

I don't know the guy but I guarantee you he won't be the OC because the head coach will do that.

Western has added one coach(walters), who was the D-line coach at Bullitt Central last season.

but i see no need to add an offensive coordinator to our team. Coach Preston is known for having a top 5 offense every single season

last season.....over 5500 yards rushing and 1200 yards passing in 12 games. Not to mention kentuckys second all time scoring team. 469 points.

Player and positions....Western has more talent then anyone in the state. Losing 3 all state players in the same backfield will hurt.

Back Joe Cardine, Who runs a 4.3 40 will likely be a major factor, as well a veteran o-line that brings back most starters.

The Defense will be headed by All District last season, and a hopeful for all state next season Ken McElroy. Who as a Soph. recorded over 100 tackles.

There should be improvement in strength. This is the first year of having an organized weight program (including speed and jump development) for several years. The players are getting stronger and improving quickly. Western lost several key players off 2006 squad. Larry Williams is the newly hired coach. He will focus on the QB's and passing game. I think he is the son of a coach from Male and has himself coached at Male one time or another.
