McCarthy has one of the biggest hearts of any player i have ever seen play. The East team played like champions. It is a shame anyone had to lose this game. East's future look's bright also with 4 sophomores seing key playing time in the game saturday and 4 juniors. Also the freshman group is very strong. Over 40 kids in grades nine to 11 have committed to coming back out that didn't come out this year. Some of them are the best athletes in the building. Don't be shocked to see the same scenario next fall with East playing a very tough schedule that includes 5 class 6A schools in the regular season. They will be primed for the playoffs.

To many people want to judge based on what they heard from a friend etc. You will be sorry if Marty leaves. Also, somewhere there was this saying that started something like this "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". None of us are perfect. Give the guy a break and at least speak to him face to face instead of this public bashing. If you are one that is throwing those stones I hope you aren't livinng in a glass house. Bullitt East won the district. They should not have to play the other district's champion which is Western. N. Bullitt is second and they should not have to play Western either. Another interpretation by Tackett as he sees fit. Basically Bullitt East and North Bullitt both could be punished for Western's problem. Keep them out of the playoffs is the answer imo. Don't know if this is a fact but i hear this is only being done this way because Jerry Wyman made the paperwork mistake and he is calling in a favor to the KHSAA. Why else would they be skipping the point system part of the tie-breaker rule?

Has he been introduced to the team? Someone said it was made official. Who or where was it made official? Was it in the newspaper or something? Just curious. Good luck to the new coach. :thumb:

Congrats to Travis. A chip off the old block. I think this a fine young guy that is going to represent his school and Kentucky very well in Ohio. I remember Travis as a small kid and haven't been around him much as he got into high school but did get to see him perform some. It is nice to see his growth and his potential start to develop even further. I remember his dad as a tremendous high school player as well. I am sure he is very proud of Travis. We will be keeping up with you Travis. Go get 'em in Ohio. :dancingpa:dancingpa:thumb::thumb:

Thompson is not making this stuff up. I have heard these stories for years about Paris. It is a sad truth. Until there is change from the top down the same problems will continue. I sure hope Poynter doesn't take this job. Trimble might be a tough place but it just doesn't have the problems he will get if he ends up in Paris. Remember this: Whoever gets the job will not stay longer than 2 or 3 years and they will be fed up and will move on (even if it is a local hire). They might not say truthfully why (like Thompson) but it will be for the same reasons. To mee B. Washington was doing a great job. It is unfortunate that he stepped down or was ran off?

I think if Belfry has a lot back they win the title against Central getting a little revenge. I bet Belfry looking back at last year is sick at some of the things they did that were not their normal style. The pass at the end of the first half was huge for Central.

Just curious to these two questions: Who got passed on a second interview? Where did you get your info?

Yes I do know. But, I am not a member of the hiring committee so I don't want to pass on info based on second hand knowledge. But, I do know that they hired a coach today. Announcement soon.
