Warren East on the rise

Has the recent success of Warren East put any pressure on Warren Central?

What has been the key to this past couple of years. Is it offensive system, great players, coaching or all of the above?

Has it put any pressure on Warren Central? I don't know why it should. They're not in the same district and they don't play each other. This last year is the first year I think you could honestly think that East was better in the last decade. At this point Warren Central needs to be more concerned with finding a way to compete with Bowling Green than East.

As for the key, all of the above. They've got excellent coaches at East who run an excellent system, and you of course need talent. In football you'd have to have a monster player to overcome lack of talent across the board.

East has had a great run of kids and looks to have even more talent on the way. The administration and school have made it a priority to be good in football and the team reflects that.

Perhaps the biggest boost to East is the fact that BGHS was moved to 5A with the realignment. What that did was basicly open up the Western half of 4A to East.

Because of the size and demographics of the population East draws on, they should be a contender for the Western representation in 4A on a yearly basis.

Of course, there is always going to be Frankliun Simpson, Bullitt East, Lone Oak and others that probably feel the same way.
