  1. Yes, considering Jackson played horrible at Greenup County and that game was early on in the year. Look at Jackson's schedule and see how they are playing this year. Not trying to down Greenup, but a 27 point loss earlier on in the season was kind of a fluke for Jackson. I knew these kids would play better and several others did also, just look at the prediction thread. Jackson played a heck of a lot better D in this game and Greenup did not bank any three's in either. I just wish these kids had another shot at East Ridge to further prove my point.
  2. No one is sleeping in the 14th region this year. We are all wide eyed and bushy tailed!
  3. Jackson City: K Howard 17, Kilburn 14, Fugate 8, Davidson 8, Thompson 4, Watkins 3, C.K. Howard 3 Greenup: Bradley 16, Tharp 8, Ty Wright 7, Tr Wright 5, Riley 6, Brown 4, Wolfenbarker 2, Perry 2 Great defensive game on both sides.
  4. Nip and tuck game all the way. Howard was injured for several minutes in the 4th and had to come out. Tigers stepped it up and played well until he could return. This was a very physical game. Jackson played excellent team ball that helped them come out on top of this battle. Jackson's defense was much better here than it was in their first game against Greenup. Hats off to Greenup, they are a very good team both on offense and defense. They get in your face for the entire 32 minutes. Good win Tigers!
  5. Makes sense, I guess. It just puzzled me because NL's uniforms were green and white only with no trace of blue and the cheeleaders wore blue and white with no trace of green. You are right I guess, but I'm still a little corn-fused
  6. This may be a stupid question, but I'm a 14th region specialist. I watched the game on WYMT and why does NL wear green uniforms and their cheerleaders and fans were dressed in blue/white??????? I'm corn-fused????

  8. Agreed! Nuff said! This thread could be closed now.
  9. The Tigers will be seeking revenge as they lost at Greenup Co. on 12/02/05 by a pretty good margin 79-52. Not making a prediction but I think Jackson will be ready to play at home Saturday night in Tigerville.
  10. I am somewhat surprised by this score but not completely. Not saying that I would have predicted this but I knew Jenkins was a scrappy little team. They traveled to Jackson last week to take on the Tigers and jumped out to an 11-0 lead. Jackson quickly took back control of the game but I could tell that Jenkins could be a dangerous team against other 14th region competition. Not to take anything away from Breathitt, Jenkins, or to down LCC, but when I saw the Breathitt/LCC game, I could tell that LCC was not as strong as many thought. Breathitt had the game won and lost it with 4 seconds left. Again, not taking away anything from Breathitt or Jenkins and not trying to talk bad about LCC, I'm just trying to explain why I was not as surprised as some are. #1 for Jenkins can light it up. I'm sure he had 25 or 30 in this game in order for Jenkins to go in and get the win. Also I'm sure Jenkins was fired up playing their new rival for the first time. I could tell at the Jackson v/s Jenkins game that Jenkins would be able to compete with many teams in the 14th. I even posted after that game that "Jenkins was not as down as some may think".
  11. Here's the difference. That was 13/14 years ago under a coach that has not coached since that year AND nobody but the coach agreed with it. Not even the players/parents/administration/community ect.ect.ect. The program suffered enough back then for one man's ignorance so nip it in the bud. Now here's the difference: You and others are not opposed to this but looks like you praise SV's effort. You are on here defending them and supporting them in this thread. I did not support what JC's coach done back then and nor will I now. I thought it was pathetic and always will. Some of JC's players even cried that night because of feeling sorry for WB's players. Some of the older students even quit the team. Only one man agreed with what JC done back then, but looks like you guys have several! :flame:
