  1. Congrats to Lee. Good win as they advance to Knott County.
  2. I said that History was just that, history, and the Bulldogs would win this one. Good win Hazard!
  3. Great win Cordia! The regional tourney is going to be one of interest!
  4. Great game to watch. I though this game was going to come down to the final few seconds but Wolfe pulled away in the final minute or so. Many Jackson City fans were there cheering on the Bobcats tonight. Hopefully the favor can be returned this week as we should support all schools within the community. Breathitt's girls have a shot at the state as well and we should support them as they make their run also.
  5. I think the Owls will play them tough, but Lee is still strong. I look for Lee to hit their free throws down the stretch and win by around 10-11.
  6. Congrats to JBS! Huge win at KCC. Score was shocking to me. I figured 5 or less either way.
  7. ????My Prediction is.............Close, Close, Close! I can't pick a winner but whoever wins will be by 6 points or less. Leslie has to be the favorite, but Buckhorn is a fast paced, up tempo, dangerous team. Good luck to both squads.
  8. Jackson’s regular team did not play in this game. They were abducted by aliens just prior to loading the bus after an unknown spacecraft hovered over Jackson. We have contacted NASA and they are making an attempt to communicate with the extraterrestrials and get our kids back home by district time. The ET’s stated that they just needed them for a couple of days to do some sort of simple testing. This is the only explanation that I have. The ones on the floor against Jenkins is not the ones who I’ve watched play this season. Tuesday is a new season, and I think the Tigers will wipe this out of their minds and focus on the next several games, (we are hoping). I support this team 100% and really like each and every kid on this team. I wish them the best. Play tough Tigers!
  9. All I can say is that I'm extremely dissappointed in Jackson City. They played pretty decent (but could have been a little better) the first three quarters, but unfortunately they made us play a fourth quarter. What a bummer! We would be unstoppable if these boys played hockey. The fourth quarter we just handed the game to PCC and said here take the game, we don't want it, we have to get home and watch Sponge Bob Square Pants. PCC played the third as if they knew Jackson City was going to beat them. They were'nt getting after the ball, Jackson started rebounding better in the 3rd and you could tell PCC was getting frustrated. In the 4th, we showed them that we just did not want to win, so they jumped on the chance. Jackson led the game all the way, by as many as 9 several times. Until halfway through the 4th when we decided it just was not worth the effort to get a win. I guess we were saving our energy for Jenkins tonight. Considering the game was at PCC, Jackson got a pretty fair shake, except for few but that can be expected. They say it's better to give than to receive but I don't think that applies in sports. Now's not the time to get all moral. When the Tigers have a lead, Howard and Fugate need to have the ball in the 4th and control the game until the end. Time to be leaders men, control the ball and get your team the Win! I'm mad as heck, but still love my Tigers. If I didn't care so much about this team winning or losing, I wouldn't make a post like this. Play smart Tigers, I know you have the heart and determination and now's the time to let if show!
  10. LOL! No, I'm not talking about the throw in point, I'm talking about when they threw it in, they threw it way in the backcourt and it took too long to dribble up the floor and they could not set up a shot.
  11. Owsley played a good basketball game. Breathitt had a chance to tie or win with 5.4 ticks left. What I didn't understand was why Breathitt tried to throw the ball in at the other end of the floor and try to go full court with the ball. They had the ball at almost half court and could have in bounded the ball about half court or so.
  12. Saw him tonight at the Breathitt/Owsley game and he did have the cast on his right hand.
  13. You could be right depends on how the 3 older guys play. :sssh:
  14. Jackson City team that played in the 4th quater against Estill, PCC by 80 pts  :madman: Jackson City team that played Buckhorn, Jackson gets the W! :ylsuper:
  15. After the Jackson City/Estill game tonight, no one can blame Jackson if they beat anyone by a bad score. They gave up a 20 point lead in the 4th quarter tonight against Estill Co. So looks like Jackson is going to have to get up by 40 or so and try and hold the lead until the buzzer sounds and they shake hands, then the game is over.
  16. I knew this would have to figure into the equation somewhere. Playing like they were behind by 15 or 20 points. :madman: Come on guys!
  17. I'm very disappointed in Jackson giving up such a lead. How is that possible???????? Me, my Grandmother, my Aunt, my Sister, and my wife's Grandfather could hold onto a 20 point lead. You don't even have to shoot many shots in the last quarter if you're up 20. Use your head to beat the press, not your skills, your head, then slow the pace down and win the ball game. I was not at the game, so could someone tell me how they lost a 20 point lead, please! I just can't grasp that concept. I'll not sleep for days now trying to figure that one out. Good win for Estill. 20 point lead in 4th quarter, lose game by five, pie = MC square X 20 to the power of 4 divided by the radius of 5....I'm going to work on this one and try to figure it out????????????????
  18. If you came from a small school as I did, then Hoosiers can't be topped. It's the greatest ever. If you came from a large school, then you might as well be watching an infomercial. LOL!
  19. I think that the way Jackson City and Buckhorn both played in this game, either one of them could have beaten any team in the region. Both squads shot well and played their hearts out.
  20. Thanks about the comment on the Tigers Professor, and it was their 4th game in 5 days: Tue: Owsley Wed: Betsy Layne Fri: Buckhorn Sat: Cordia Cordia does have a good ball club, but the Tigers were pretty wore down also.
