Jackson City 93 Buckhorn 83

Recommended Posts

WOW! Up and down all night long. Very fast paced/physical game. Jackson led by 3 at the half and came out the third quarter and took around a 10 point lead. The Tigers led by as many as 16 but Buckhorn would not give up. Buckhorn has a good team. Jackson's entire team played great once again. They struggled a little on the boards but made up for it elsewhere. It may not look like it but both squads played decent defense and if not, the score would have been well over the 100's as fast paced as this game was. I thought both teams looked good and the way the both played tonight, any team that runs into them come tourney time has their hands full. Good game Jackson and Buckhorn. Way to stick tough Tigers and good win. :thumb:

It was an excellent game as Howard and Fugate led there team to a big win at home. Buckhorn shot the lights out but the tigers hung in and had excellent team work once again. Thompson, Watkins and Davidson stepped up big eith the tigers only big man(kilburn) in foul trouble, The three got big rebounds and hit there free throws along with fugate at the end to seal the tigers a ten point win.

Big win for the Tigers. Howard and Fugate stepped up big in this game with Howard having 25 points and Fugate finishing with 21 points. Watkins, Thompson, Kilburn, and Davidson all came in and played great as well. The Tigers are rolling at the right time. :thumb:

Even though this was a loss for Buckhorn, it was nice to see that our team is playing well again. Except for the 3 minute span when Buckhorn was unsure of themselves and Coach Noble took his starting 5 out, they played great. It was starting to look bad for awhile and I believe there is life in them yet. They will Leslie all they want come district time and maybe even pull off the upset.

I think that the way Jackson City and Buckhorn both played in this game, either one of them could have beaten any team in the region. Both squads shot well and played their hearts out.

These two teams seem to play hard ,for a win or lose, and are driven to want it as much or more than any other teams in the region. Tremendous improvements for both teams. Over the past few years Buckhorn seem to have some players but never could bring them together and Jackson always played hard but couldnt untill now get all their Tigers in a row. Job well done for both programs, took a little time but hard work pays off in the long run. Both teams, unless something out of nowhere happens, will have the potential this year to make some noise and next year to do as much as they've dont this year and more.
