Leslie Co. 68 North Laurel 62

Featured Replies

Shanade Alen picked up his third and fourth foul early in the third quarter, and Leslie took advantage, building a 13-point lead. But the Jaguars came back when Allen checked back in and forged a tie midway through the fourth.

Leslie held strong, however, getting six big points down the stretch by Quentin Morgan to hold off North.

Stats were basically even, other than Leslie shooting 52 percent to North's 41. Three-pointers were big for North as they hit seven.

NL

S. Allen - 23 pts, 5 rebs, 4 stls

Justin Howard - 16 pts

LC

Q. Morgan - 19 pts, 6 rebs

Brian Hubbard - 12 pts

Ryan Howard - 13 pts

Daniel Day - 10 pts, 7 rebs

Because of the power outage in Hindman, this game didn't wrap up until well past midnight. I just now got home to London.

Leslie plays Harlan in the WYMT championship.

Congrats Eagles! Good luck in the Championship game.

They played really well, and have improved considerably each time I've seen them (this is either the fourth or fifth time I've seen them this year).

This may be a stupid question, but I'm a 14th region specialist. I watched the game on WYMT and why does NL wear green uniforms and their cheerleaders and fans were dressed in blue/white??????? I'm corn-fused????

Congratulations Eagles!!! You played great. Keep up the good work and do it again tonight (hopefully we won't get snowed out). How many points did Young have? I believe he had his best game of the season.

North Laurel's school colors are blue and green.

North Laurel's school colors are blue and green.

Makes sense, I guess. It just puzzled me because NL's uniforms were green and white only with no trace of blue and the cheeleaders wore blue and white with no trace of green. You are right I guess, but I'm still a little corn-fused

Good win for Leslie, good luck in the Championship

Congrats to Leslie

I wish them luck in the championship!!!

I know he had a 3 :thumb:. It was a nice shot at a time when the eagles needed it.

The girls team's uniforms are all blue, perhaps adding to others' confusion.

I am not for sure how many points Bj Young ended up with but I do know if it wasnt for his never-ending spark off the bench last night Leslie would have never won.

Five points, including the big three at the end of the third Q and a big FT in the closing minute.

Actually Young finished with 11 on the night.
