I agree. Batted .469 in the 11th region last year. Already committed to UK and just really hard to get out.

Also Carrington Roberts from Madison Souhtern is certainly worth mentioning.

All the ones mentioned are solid players. J.T. Riddle from Western Hills should also be included in the conversation. He is an outstanding player and led the 41st district in scoring last year.

The KHSAA site has Gene Kirk listed as the head coach.

According to my sources (which are pretty good) Woodford is going to hire Gene Kirk on a one year interim basis. I have not seen an official announcement though.

Mike is a class act and will do a great job. He is always out evaluating and working with young officials. I witnessed him showing some freshman officials where they should be on the court by using a coaches white board after the game and just giving useful information to them. He is dedicated to his profession.

Satterwhite is a 6'8 post player from Western Hills he will join Franklin Co.'s Barrett Meyer and Lex Cath's Taylor Botkin. Looks like a solid recruiting class by Coach Lane

Anyone have the box score? I know the 11/13th won by about 20 over the 10/12th. The score was 126-106 I think. I just wondered about individual scoring.

Crowds in FReedom Hall are always much smaller (Check out the program at the sweet 16). Rupp is an awesome venue.

Coach Kelley really had this team performing at the end of the season. I hope to see him on the sidelines again soon.

Neither would Western Hills or Frankfort. This would be much better than the 11th.

The Wolverines have nothing to be ashamed of. If you are not from Holmes or Scott Co. then you haven't beaten FCHS either. Franklin Co. is very good and has good reason to be proud of their team. Western Hills is making their third straight trip to regions so they seem to have turned things around. The very same official who gave the "questionable" ejection has given the following in 41st district games this year. Technical on Scott Chalk versus Woodford Technical on JD Miller in WCHS vs WHHS regular season Technical on Mike Satterwhite vs WCHS regular season Technical on Cam Lee vs WCHS regular season And a slew of them last night. Western Hills has had three other technicals called the entire season. FCHS technicals have been minimal also. Both teams have lots of class. Both teams played hard and good luck to them in regional play

Bradley Lucas hit a three as time expired to win the game. Great game by both teams. Hills played most of the second half without leading scorer JT Riddle who had to leave to get stitches and Mike Satterwhite fouled out about half way through the third quarter. Johnson led WC with 19 points and Lucas added 14. Hills was led by Marcus Wise and Cam Lee with 13 each.

I agree with you on many points, especially that the man to man defense at County is excellent, but the 3 top scorers (Donovan, Meyer, and Hall) on the team did not attend Elkhorn. They all played for Lexington Catholic and Good Shepard. The freshman team also has two very good players that did not attend Elkhorn.

This makes the most sense of any redistricting in my opinion.

Western Hills won the 3rd place game at the Capital City Invitational. Southwestern stepped in and played in place of Boone Co. who was stuck in the ice storm and could not make the trip (most were actually stuck in traffic on I-75). Southwestern played back to back games and showed a ton of heart in this one.
