This tournament will be played at the Frankfort Convention Center Dec 20, 22-23 hosted by Western Hills Boone Co. vs Lafayette Eastern vs Southwestern Shelby Co. vs Fern Creek Western Hills vs Rockcastle Co.

Woodford really won the rebounding battle which was the deciding factor in the game. The Yellowjackets are a very talented and deep team.

Hard fought game by both teams. Riddle had 26 for Western Hills and Kraemer had 17 for South.

These are times when only God's grace will be of comfort. If you have lost a child, you get that sick feeling deep inside again when you hear of these things happening to others. The entire family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I agree. Meyer is an assassin from outside and Hicks has serious speed. It is really hard to get noticed in 11th, but these guys are solid night in and night out.

Info on Mike Satterwhite: 6'8 C 8th in the state in rebounding last year (tied with A. Morris of Mad Central) ranked as a top sleeper by the Bolus rankings Solid post player that just happens to go one of the samller schools in 11th. Has helped Western Hills make the regional tourney the past two seasons.

The day starts off with two private schools that are not in the KHSAA. The Girl's Middle School State Tournament Final game is in the afternoon. There are several teams from western Kentucky this year. Western Hills won 20-12. West Jessamine had a 12-3 lead going into the 4th quarter, but WHHS made some big plays to pull it out.

Congrats to Coach Miller and the boys on the West Side.

He plays all 5 positions for them mostly looking for a mismatch, but does most of his damage at the 3 and 4 spot. he will drag samller players to the post and pull the bigger guys out on the floor and cause lots of problems for the defense. Russell's improvement in the post has freed him up to do alot of things.

SCHS also got a nice freshman transfer (Ivey) from the Western Hills district. Seems like a lot of basketball transfers for one school.
