Early thoughts on what 2A looks like next year? IMO you are going to see LCA vs BW part 4 (BW played LCA in 1A finals back in the day). LCA loses some real fire power but don’t be fooled. I think BW has a strong chance of being back but their identity changes IMO. Danville will be competitive but still has a ways to go. I said it earlier this year Mayfield still has to get a lot better to compete with LCA and BW. Middlesboro, well we saw that show a couple of weeks ago. OC? Possibly in the mix but I just don’t see anyone who knocks LCA or BW off the top.

On defense you have the top two sacks leaders in 2A with Tyler Morris (11.5 LCA) and Xavier Campbell (12 BW). Parker Chaney (6) and Mason Moore (4) have a combined 10 int's, two pick 6's for LCA. These two teams have dudes all over the field on both sides of the ball. Tighten your chinstrap this will be a good one.

BW broadcast “ Mayfield looks a like a 2A team and Beechwood looks like a 5A team” not sure class rank has any correlation as to how big your team is or looks but has nothing to do with the price of corn IMO. Middlesboro O line average was 6’3 265 and you see what that got them. Western KY 2A football is not on the level of central and northern KY programs. LCA would run clock Mayfield in the first half just like they did Murray last year.

Battle of the QB's tonight. Very similar stats for the season by both QB's. WC's O line has to protect Patterson better than they did against CC. WC gave up 4 sacks combined with several false starts. If they give him time and clean up the stupid penalties, things could get very interesting tonight in Versailles.

Great crowd expected for this game on both sides of the ball.

Xavier Brown is ? % a candidate for Mr. Football. His body of work over LCA’s schedule is very impressive.

Dixie had every chance to win that game. IMO they had the better team that night but made some really bad calls late combined with some stupid penalties.

And why LCA has the top RPI in the entire state out of all classes.

Wow just imagine if Xavier Brown had nearly as many touches as "others" in the state? His yards per carry are tops in the state I do believe. With nearly 1400 yards on 104 carries. Some running backs have 200+ carries and most have over 150.

The Patterson kid at WC is a really good QB. Just flown under the radar because their HC / OC didn't know what he had till last year. Smart, strong arm and a competitor.

WC answered a lot of questions when they stepped up in class of opponent last night. Sometimes confidence is all you need and I think there’s an abundance of it in Versailles right now.

Tied at half and then LCA got their act together and went all gas no brakes. Xavier Brown was unstoppable and LCA’s D settled in and set up camp in the backfield of OC. Lot’s to clean up by the Eagles before next week. 49-14 with 2 min to go and OC added a cheap one at the end.

I think a lot of eyes are on Cov Cath vs Woodford. The seasoned veteran squad from the north invades the school known for wrastl'n. I think WC has the edge QB wise, but I think CC's defense will be on another level that WC has seen this year. If Patterson can stay clean they stand a chance. I like CC's staff over WC's. Experience in these types of games counts more than one thinks.

I was all in on Mayfield but these Green Co folks have peaked my interest.
