Agree. I think the RPI is all about how you schedule. Case in point LCA. Top RPI in all classes. That’s what happens when you play Mad Central, CAL, Belfry, Boyle, Lex Cath and Pikeville just to start the season. It helps even more when you beat them. It’s a chess match that starts long before the season starts. The problem is the smaller class powerhouses are going to have trouble scheduling games. 6A schools don’t want 2A smoke lol. I understand playing a softer schedule if your trying to build your program and player confidence but that will bite you in the butt come November.

RPI is all about who you schedule. You're about to see some teams who think they are good because they spanked a bunch of JV level programs get a big dose of big boy football tomorrow night.

Nope if LCA wins the semi's are realigned by the RPI. Since LCA is #1 they play the lowest remaining seed which should be the winner of Middlesboro vs West Carter. Mayfield goes to Beechwood.

Duh. They beat Glasgow lol. I will say Franklin was a hard fought win but FC was down their starting QB and Morman was hurt. FC has been a roller coaster of success and failures this year.

That’s fine. I played 4 years of college ball with CC’s HC. I’ve also watched a lot of their film this year. This board is 99% opinion and 1% facts for the most part. The film I’ve seen on Glasgow formed my opinion. It’s ok to disagree about the Scotties lol. This thread is about WC and CC. The facts are that WC’s schedule is no where near as difficult as CC’s despite what any computer or website says. The film doesn’t lie.

Guys quit hanging your hat on Glasgow as a quality win. They may be good in their district or region but they are not good. Beechwood would run clock Glasgow in the 1st half and would beat WC soundly if not run clock. CC and northern KY football is good.

WC played a solid schedule? IMO outside of FC their schedule was as soft as a baby's butt. Their schedule did them zero favors for preparing for November. Cov Cath will be prepared. Eddie doesn't ever come unprepared, they have been in this game too many times in the past and know what to do. I do agree that this will be the toughest game for WC and will definitely tell us a lot. If WC wins I will tip my cap to a job well done. Love their QB Bryce Patterson.

I like Dixie as the sleeper in 6A. Everyone flocks to the household names each year but I like what I have seen of Dixie in big games. They have some dudes. They just need to keep their foots on the throttle when they get going.

You would think it would favor Murray but it was cold windy and wet last year when they came to Lexington in the semi's and that didn't workout too well for them.

OLB Tyler Morris at LCA is a beast. 6'1 205lbs and runs a sub 4.40 40 with a 38.5 vert. He can play with his hand down, in the box and cover. 37.5 total tackles, 14.5 TFL's, 8 sacks and 2 Int's thus far this season. His football IQ is off the charts. He is headed to play for Navy next year. Honestly, I think the total tackles stat is a bad measuring stick as to how good a LB is. There was a kid not too long ago that averaged some ridiculous amount of tackles for his career. Definitely showed he had a nose for the ball, but when you watched his Hudl highlights, he was highlighting every single tackle even those on 7 and 8 yard gains. If you have 10 tackles in a game but it's after the running back has gained 10 yards on each run does that mean your a good linebacker? I think you have to look at things like TFL's, sacks, forced fumbles and Int's when measuring a LB. Furthermore you have to analyze who are they making these plays against? How many yards and points does your defense give up? Did your 2 sacks come against Boyle Co or Washington Co? What is their SOS? Again, just my opinion but I always like to peal the layers back to see what compiles the body of work for a player.

That makes more sense. If the sideline is part of the act then I see the potential issue. In any circumstance that's a bold call for an official to make at that moment in time.
