Do they start before school and then go all of first period? Or are they on block schedules and have longer periods? I ask because I think a lot of schools/teams would be limited by an hour class to get a good workout in and shower and get ready for the next class.

I look at this question in two ways, the best student body section I have seen in KY is no question Cov Cath. The colonel crazies are awesome and that is coming from an HHS guy. In terms of overall fan base that is willing to travel/supportive/etc. I have to but my HHS fan base in the running and Beechwood from NKY.

I totally understand how your son is feeling. When I was looking to play college ball after high school I met with Coach Cronin and it was a great experience. His passion was infections and you could tell he cared about his players. To redo things, I would have taken his offer.

I am not saying he actually has this belief, but I have found it interesting to hear interviews with legendary coaches about how they felt like if they don't keep coming back they are going to die. Essentially, this is all they are living for.

All do respect to Kevin Wallace, who is a great coach, but he isn’t even on the Mt. Rushmore of KY coaches.

I too, can confirm that he was not fired. Someone is going to get a great assistant coach in NKY; my guess would be CCH. Campbell County is a frustrating situation. They seem to have all the things in place to be a solid program, not necessarily great, but better than what they have been but cannot get over the hump.

Watching how the ND players and staff are reacting to Marcus Freeman being named HC, I think it might be safe to say that ND has won this whole exchange.

Big loss for UK. Troy is getting a great coach and a really strong recruiter. Although it hurts to lose Coach Sumrall, it is a good sign for a program when your assistant coaches start getting poached for head coaching jobs. I am interested to see who Stoops replaced him with. I would imagine Stoops would want someone with ties to Alabama, like Sumrall has, to continue to recruit that area hard.

I was just able to watch the footage of his talk to his players at ND. Am I the only one who didn’t really have a problem with his speech? I’m not sure what everyone wants BK to say. I get that it is a low character move to let his players players find out through social media, but the speech itself was completely fine in my eyes.

I did a free trial of Paramount Plus because I wanted to watch Mayor of Kingstown which is a Paramount Plus original and have ended up keeping it. It is pretty cheap (plans start at like $5 a month). With that and YouTubeTV I have access to everything I want. If you end up getting it, check out Mayor of Kingstown. It is pretty good so far.

Again, I truly appreciate you educating me on the pension system. That expense is an upfront cost that a lot of people in the position Bob Sphire is in, find as worth it to be fully vested in the pension system so that they have healthcare. Believe it or not, this is the exact same thing Coach Mueller did at HHS to retire when he did.

Is Lex Cath really getting all the talent though? LCA is rolling and really grabbing up a lot of private school talent throughout Lexington and Douglass is grabbing up a lot of talent as well. Just something to consider...

Stoops does not fly coach to recruit. This was posted just yesterday and there are countless other pictures similar to this over the years.

I am quite familiar with how pensions work. Thanks. Bob also coached many years in KY before going to Lex Cath and Georgia. You can also buy years, which many people do, in order to get closer to your pension number. I know multiple coaches and teachers who have bought years in order to retire early or to add to their pension.

Bob Sphire is going to go where Bob Sphire can make the most money and set up his son for the future. Right now that is at HHS. I highly doubt Lex Cath can match the coin HHS is paying him plus Bob is getting years towards his KY retirement at HHS which he would not get at Lex Cath.
