I had the privilege of playing golf with Coach Sumrall this summer and he hinted that he might have some potential opportunities come up. 
He is one of the best people I’ve ever met. I wish him nothing but the best. This is a big loss for UK. 
 

Big loss for UK. Troy is getting a great coach and a really strong recruiter. Although it hurts to lose Coach Sumrall, it is a good sign for a program when your assistant coaches start getting poached for head coaching jobs.

I am interested to see who Stoops replaced him with. I would imagine Stoops would want someone with ties to Alabama, like Sumrall has, to continue to recruit that area hard.

Definitely a great guy - very few coaches that would do this!
