Great write up I wrote in the 8th region thread that I thought OC would be better than many predicted. With the 3 team district those regular season games are going to be VERY interesting!!!

Think this one will be tightly contested. The last one got away from the PL Tigers early and hard to play that way against StM Rocks. Tigers keep this close into the 4th quarter and we will see if Coach Wallace can go Krogering.

Atherton is looking like a well oiled machine right now. Hard seeing them not going Krogering.

Great guy and he will do good things with this difficult transition.

Moved to this great Commonwealth that very season. I remember reading the sports page of the CJ each day and these names bring back memories. I BELIEVE (but not sure memory is correct) that both the 6th and 7th region tourneys were held at Freedom Hall that year.

It is a huge responsibility in the Catholic Schools. So big and time consuming that I wouldn’t think it would allow someone to be a Head Football Coach?

Parents are why GOOD coaches get out of the Coaching business. Sad! Back in the day (yes I’m older than most on here) it was the best “profession” to positively impact young people. It is not that any more.

Hard disagree. At the HS level, it shouldn’t be JUST about wins and losses. But alas, it’s heading that way which is why we see so much turnover.

^^^ This 100% Too many people get caught up on wins and losses to determine if a coach is “good” or not. Some of the best coaching jobs I’ve seen are when a coach gets everything he/she can out of lesser talented teams.

Some movement of players from the 7th to the 6th. JD Flippens from Manual to Fern Creek Johnny MacFarland from Eastern to Fern Creek. Should put FC near or at the top of the 6th RIGHT NOW but there is more movement on the horizon!

Lot of chatter and just confirmed that he’s leaving ND Prep in California!!! For those that don’t know Tran Stokes is the number one player in the Class of 2026. He’s from Louisville but has not played any HS ball in town.

While I agree that no one gets left out, sometimes being left out teaches a lesson that inclusion can’t.

I’d guess that it would be local as you mentioned. May not be someone on staff but it could be someone in the building??? Also when looking at local schools, the HC at the alphabet school, with the initials HC comes to mind. He has some success in the “student acquisition” and some State Championships in his pocket?

Great rundown. My one thought is that Oldham will be better than most people think. Two young players that can really play and the guy calling the shots is sorta good too!?

Coach Jackson is one of the best dudes around. They have some really good skill players and the Oline is starting to come around a little. They could beat Garrard. Should be a good game

They never do. I have it on good authority that the transfers are not done for this season. Someone in the 7th is getting a BIG one.
