Kudos Knight Owl. While I think Cov Cath is a top contender to take it all at Rupp, sometimes things don’t go as planned. I think those kids at Cooper that haven’t got much clock the past few years will be better than anticipated. They have had to battle in practice against great players the last few years. The “new” coach will bring fresh perspective. Look for Cooper to surprise a few clubs this year!

That is BIZARRE. It should be the ADs job to make sure his squads follow the rules. There has to be more to the story!

So this is an interesting twist. Kids up and leave their coaches all the time but if a coach does it’s “a tough look” ***I’m just joking as this has always been the college fan reply (about coaches leaving) before the transfer portal.

Any formula that does not value head to head as a MAJOR component is flawed. RPI needs to be redone or not used.

Agree ? with this. Too much of the focus is on the top level players/teams/coaches. These are real battles being “won” by keeping the players involved and coming back.

What is his current size? Only being 16 he’s got some growth ahead of him?

You don’t have to move anywhere. That’s why kids can transfer from Scott County to Henry Clay without moving.

Your last point about Privates is totally INCORRECT. Much more scrutiny over those. If you did separate the privates out the KHSAA would lose a LOT of dollars and we know that’s not happening. There was a time when some of the bigger Private schools looked at leaving the KHSAA. That was always my hope that they just did that and then wouldn’t be party to the inequity of transfer policies.

I’d say MOST school SYSTEMS in the State. Think about it, grade schools, middle schools and high schools in even the smallest of counties have many teachers, administrators and maintenance staff. A million dollars gets gobbled up pretty fast.

There’s really no reason NOT to play a hard schedule in Basketball. You basically have 26 or 27 practice games, with your 3 or 4 District games being the ones that count the most.

Great work! Also, let’s find something better than this to seed teams for the playoffs! Most everyone would agree that the current RPI formula has some things in it that make it NOT the best (OOS comp a big one)
