  1. Great showing by NL. Scheduling is not that hard. Pick up the phone and call somebody. Go to the big cities and play in Events. Louisville, Lexington and NKY have single and multi day events that a team could pick up one or two games against good competition. There are ways and in Kentucky you get 30 practice games until the games truly matter ***this is not in any way a knock on NL or anyone else’s schedule. The traditionally good programs normally play all comers.
  2. Someone predicted a rock fight and it looks like one happened !
  3. Seneca or Atherton are pretty close to the Watterson which makes it much easier for most people. JCPS really messed up when they made their showcase arena at Valley. They could have easily built it mid town and made it not associated with a school. Could of held Concerts, graduations etc there for everyone to use. Nah, let’s put it on one end of town to make as INCONVENIENT as possible to most people!
  4. Made the trek out to Valley HS. Some observations: St X is really good. Kentucky HS basketball needs a shot clock. Its ridiculous that to teams from the 7th region have to play in the furthest SIXTH Region gym from them.
  5. Not many opportunities open right this moment? Seems there is more to the story but this is SOP from this Coach.
  6. Looks like Man Robinson is headed to IMG…? He did not play in their regional game against Trinity in basketball last night. Big time opportunity for him if this is true. Hearing some other rumblings of some of their top young talent may be leaving as well. Kids who already have offers.
  7. Can someone give a synopsis of the article? I don’t follow the CJ.
  8. I’ll take Manual v T Ballard v X Ballard with the shocker. X been best all year but Ballard played them close last time. Ballard then loses to Manual in final. Crimson to Rupp and they will have earned it with the gauntlet they’d have to get through
  9. I’ll give it a go: Butler v PrP Jtown v Moore Butler beats Jtown for title. Bears have been best team all year by a slim margin. Let’s see if they can lock it down.
  10. Anderson beat Spencer last night A Districts winner is going to get South Oldham or Spencer County. Fun times at the Roy!
  11. Why do they have “play back in” games? The State tournament is set up the way it’s set up. Why does ONE region do it differently than the other 15?
  12. I’d hate to be the District winner that draws Male. Team is slowly coming together after missing Cole for most of the season. Wouldn’t surprise me to see them in the Region finals.
  13. KABC POY is for Seniors only. It also means that the player is a candidate for Mr. Basketball
  14. The answer to any question that you are unsure of is always the same: MONEY
  15. And now the Bullitt schools will be in the same district beginning next year I believe!
  16. Pardon an out of tower asking….what does FILD stand for?
  17. There are way too many people on Poplar Level that stick their noses where it shouldn’t be. This has been a cluster and my guess will continue to be one. Par for the course.
  18. Is Whitehead eligible at Ballard? If so, makes them that much more a threat.
  19. Agree on most wide open region in the State. To me, Butler is the favorite as have played a little tougher schedule and have beaten PRP in OT. Should be a good one Friday night on Crums Lane!
