Louisville Desales travels east to Lawrenceburg for the final game of the regular season.  DeSales(4-5) comes off a late bye week, while Anderson County(3-6) comes off a district loss to Woodford County.  Can the Bearcats recapture their predistrict form and get a much needed win heading into the offseason or will the Colts spoil the last home game of the season and get to .500?

Surprised that a DeSales squad that has been struggling this year can go on the road and get this win. Good for Coach Jackson. 

 

Congrats to the Colts.  Like to see that program progress.

Coach Jackson is one of the best dudes around.

They have some really good skill players and the Oline is starting to come around a little.

They could beat Garrard. Should be a good game

DeSales had a lot of missed opportunities. On around the 14 twice and got stuffed on fourth down. I think they were on the 4 and got a holding call. Reliable kicker missed a field goal and extra point. Went for two 2 point conversions twice and nothing. Anderson Co laid down some good licks and hurt their self with a lot of penalties. Big running back they had was a hard runner. I thought both teams played hard.

Mike has been a good friend of mine for a long time. First time our teams have played each other. He does a super job and it was fun to see him at the coin toss. 

Both defenses were strong.

As you said, our mistakes were more than we could overcome. 

Both teams played their guts out. Anyone who bought a ticket got their money's worth. Our seniors have been through alot. In regards to effort and heart, a great way to end their HS career. In regards to the scoreboard, not the case. 

We played DeSales when I was at Mercer. Have always liked that program. Even when they were struggling in 2021, they played hard and were first class.

Anderson County’s play mirrored their head coach—tough, well-prepared, and classy. 
  While we were able to move the ball well, they stiffened up when we got in the red zone. 
  Hopefully our guys learned some valuable lessons for the playoffs. This was the kind of game we needed against an opponent that forced us to find a way to win outside of our normal operation.
