Is the basketball team affected by the football issue?

Based on RPI and East:West, I still think Beechwood has the best odds to make it to Kroger Field than any team in 2A. Just lucky it appears LCA and Mayfield will meet before that point!

Line of scrimmage was totally dominated by CCH. Beechwood playing without their most physical player obviously not ideal, but it would not have made a difference on offense. Missing Waddell on defense was critical against the run, especially on many of the 3rd and shorts CCH was able to convert.

How does the qb compare to some of the other freshman qbs (Beechwood, SK, Ryle) that I’ve seen talked about on here? With the Beechwood and SK freshman getting varsity reps out of necessity.

I’ll have to disagree with that statement. At some point there will be another transcendental talent good enough to provide a winning culture. There are enough other talented kids in the city to provide the support if they see that transcending talent committed to Holmes. You get a player like Beetle and throw in a few other complimentary parts and you have the recipe. Will it be easy, especially as the teenage culture of Covington continues to deteriorate? No! But I think it’s possible. I guess in todays society it may be hard to keep a transcendental talent at Holmes when the opportunity presents its self to the catholic schools down the road.

Probably the 9th at the 37ths discretion, so the refs don’t have to travel. Gas is expensive these days!

I think we’ve thought this several times before and then they somehow lose to Cooper or NCC or St Henry. I agree though, this year seems different as no other team in the 9th seems even close!
