I appreciate all of the feedback here, Cat… lol just playing. It could be… 10th is all over the place at the moment but the 10th is a goofy animal. Those top-5 are almost always the top-5 in some order when March rolls around. GRC simply reloads, MoCo and Mason have had some big names moving in and out, and Garyn Jackson returning will keep Campbell in the top handful of teams in the region but they graduated just about everyone else. Where do you have this shaking out in the preseason?

Doesn’t scream salary dump to me. There wasn’t anywhere for India to play with McLain returning. Singer also has 3 years of team control and his numbers aren’t earth shattering but have trended in the right direction. If he had top tier numbers, you wouldn’t be able to trade the two guys you did for him. Sadly, in the grand scheme of things, India is just a run of mill big leaguer and the league proved that when the Reds had interest in moving him last offseason. The biggest thing he’ll bring is stability to a staff that hasn’t had much. He made 32 starts last year and threw a ton of innings. What’s left of our bullpen is smiling.

If things continued to roll the same way in the ‘24 campaign they were going to struggle to do it anyway, but after the teams success in back-to-back years without Watson and the fans’ reaction to his injury… they literally can’t afford to bring him back.
