  1. Do the SK Pioneers have any players returning for their Supplemental School Year (5th year)? Impact players?
  2. Nice Post. I would also like to see the Birds improve on all Special Teams.
  3. The Birds will definitely be a much improved team this year with better schemes and better talent utilization on both sides of the ball. That being said, BG in week 1 is a true challenge for a program that is rebuilding. Hell, BG in week 1 is a true challenge for 99% of the teams in the Bluegrass. I expect this to be a low scoring, close game with a margin in the 4 - 8 range.
  4. Plus the Birds dropped several big passes that would have likely led to additional scores. I can think of about 5 or 6 passes downfield that were "on the money" but not completed. Those things need to get cleaned up.
  5. I thought the Birds frosh held their own against Male. Yes, they did look a little sloppy at times but I don't think they looked overmatched.
  6. Is there a current list of school districts that have voted for/against the Supplemental School Year Program?
  7. How many districts do you think will actually vote to allow the SSYP? From what I have heard, I think that Fort Thomas Independent Schools (Highlands) has already voted NO. It seems to me that districts/boards that vote YES will have potentially have an advantage over those that vote NO.
  8. So we're talking about: Trinity, St X, DeSales, Lexington Catholic, Covington Catholic, Newport Catholic, St. Henry, Holy Cross, Owensboro, Covington Latin, and Villa Madonna and then a handful of other smaller private Christian Schools?
  9. Personally, I don’t like it. The vast majority of the 2021 seniors played their seasons.
  10. Must the 2021 Senior remain at the same school or may the 2021 Senior opt to play elsewhere? And down the line... May the current 2022 Senior opt to play elsewhere for the 5th year?
  11. After the game, the CovCath radio broadcast team said that they saw Vieth down on the court holding his leg in pain. Has anyone heard any updates to that observation by the CCH radio team?
  12. Ryle and Dixie will be tough games but Highlands should win.
  13. It seems to me the same thing could be said about Highlands.
  14. Really looking forward to seeing how Coach Sphire evaluates and utilizes the talent.
  15. That's a good take and good insight into the situation.
  16. Also, playing on a college sized court (94ft) versus a high school sized court (84 ft) makes a difference when playing a team that likes to press and smother like CovCath. That extra 10 feet makes a big difference.
  17. Overall it was an ugly win for the Birds over a bad Conner team. If the Birds aren't able to establish some type of passing game against a much better CovCath defense, it's going to be over quick and be a 27+ point win for CovCath.
  18. I agree with this. I think the Birds will get the win with a margin in the 13-17 point range.
  19. That’s just wrong! Highlands stayed in that 3-5 the entire game. When Cooper had 8 offensive linemen, Highlands would line up with only 3 defensive players down and no one else within 5 yards of the LOS.
  20. Is Rylee still at Beechwood? I thought I saw a thread on BGP about him being at CovCath now.
