He lost some really good receivers from last year and I think the design of the offense changed to a more balanced attack. Freihofer made a fantastic grab last night and Campbell keeps getting better. Guys like Johnson, Alexander, et al don't come around very often. Just my take. O'Hara may be down a bit numbers wise, but he is quite talented. He had a really nice scramble for a TD last night.

That guy reminds me so much of Bellevue great running back Mike Sutkamp. He just slashes and runs full tilt on every carry. By the way, Mike played about 45 years ago. Currently an internist in Louisville.

One of the problems with switching a game at the last minute is that officials are usually from outside the local officials association. Many times you have already made arrangements to leave your primary employment to travel for a game. If you can work that out it's ok. I think my longest trip was from NKY to Belfry. Been to several Garden Spots around the Commonwealth lol. It was always funny, but our relatives and friends would call during the playoffs and ask if I had been to XYZ for a game. Shortest route, food, gas etc. At least I was good for something lol.

His teams at Louisiana were always solid and in his previous years as an assistant was well respected. I learned a long time ago that it's about right place and right time. With NIL and the portal the time nor place may never become correct.

This in season firing pattern is ridiculous. Where are you finding experienced coaches to head up these programs? When the dominoes start falling you are going to see names at mid majors eventually showing up that have never had HC experience on any level. Why would a coach leave a solid P4 program to fix a dumpster fire even for crazy money? The pool of assistants available will be staggering. Makes for a good off season on BGP lol.

If you are 0-10 and have scored 28 points all season facing a 10-0 team averaging 49 a game it's a big problem. The best solution is going back to 4 classes with the district winner and runner-up moving forward ......and there will still be blowouts.
