Always wonder about the spread vs under center in short yardage. In effect you go from fourth and less than one to fourth and four. If you can't get it from under center you are in trouble in my eyes.

I'm a physics guy and also officiated football for 25 years. I said backwards pass( no mention of lateral in rule books) right away to my wife. When I worked we looked at the pitch man's position and the direction of the ball at the time of backwards pass.... definitely looked like the RB was behind the QB.

A few weeks ago there was speculation that Chris Wolfe was leaving Male. He should be close to having his 27 years in public education and eligible for KTRS retirement. If (and that's a big if) Coach Wallace were to leave, would he be a possible replacement? Sure knows the landscape of Louisville area football and has had success at Male. Just a thought.
