Interesting after two rounds of the CFP two things. 1) All 4 teams that hosted the opening rounds on campus won. 2) All 4 teams that had bye's and were off for 24-26 days all lost by an average of 14.5 points by lower seeded teams.

And the Bulldogs deserved to be in the postseason, but going forward there needs to be reseeding after round 1.  That would have addressed Georgia’s starting QB being out.  That being said, there’s no system that will satisfy everyone.

Never a doubt who was winning. Bulldogs with a seldom-used backup QB had no business playing in this game and the results show this.

That backup QB honestly didn’t play that bad IMO. He got no help from his WRs in this one. With that said I think Notre Dame wins no matter who Georgia had at QB today. Notre Dame was simply better this year, and this years Georgia team wasn’t as good as recent Georgia teams.

Addressing an injury would take human intervention and I want to keep that out.  Use objective power ratings and reseeding after every round.

I agree, there were a couple of key drops and one penalty.  I thought he played decent, good enough to win if he was surrounded with usual Georgia talent.

I know Georgia’s quarterback was out but this was still an impressive win for Notre Dame. Freeman definitely won In coaching, which I think was the question of many. And Freeman is definitely a hot ticket item as a head coach now, which I believe was already the case.

Kinda argues for a 16 (or 8) team playoff format, doesn’t it?

As a Notre Dame fan I love this, but I am loving this college football playoffs even more. I have always said college football had the worst way of crowning a champion in all sports. As the crowning of a champion wasn’t truly decided on the field, but more so opinions deciding who should be the two playing for a title. When it moved to a 4 team playoff, OSU showed right away that first when given a chance on the field a team considered the 4th best team by opinion could win it all. Now this year with 12 teams in it, we are seeing again how when you take opinion and conference bias out of it. That just because people may think a team is better, doesn’t mean it is true. It is truly being decided on the field right now and I love it! There still is some tweaks that need to be made, but overall IMO this is much better than anything they have ever done before.

The whole thing needs to be seeded from the jump.

Yep. The QB wasn’t the reason Georgia got dominated.

How does Georgia not have better receivers than that?
