I know Georgia’s quarterback was out but this was still an impressive win for Notre Dame. Freeman definitely won In coaching, which I think was the question of many. And Freeman is definitely a hot ticket item as a head coach now, which I believe was already the case.

My first thought is why would he leave ND? But Brian Kelly did so ND must not have the $$$ to compete. I still don't see Freeman leaving.

I don’t think he will either but I’m sure others will try getting him to.

Georgia just didn't have "IT" this season. They looked vulnerable in the majority of their games this season, far different than the last few Georgia teams.

How does Georgia not have better receivers than that?

Great question. It wasn’t pretty at all by them.

If I remember correctly I think it was more facility related for why Kelly left, as he wanted upgrades and Notre Dame at that time wasn’t willing to. However, I believe they have started to do those upgrades now.

Notre Dame won’t allow Freeman to leave and will match or beat anyone IMO. The only school that could possibly lure Freeman away is OSU, and that would be more because he is an OSU alum.

I also felt like Kelly was somewhat on the hot seat. He'd been at Notre Dame for several years and while they were relevant, he couldn't quite get them over the hump. I think Kelly saw an opportunity to get out and not take a hit to his bank account while doing so.

Agreed.

I don’t see Freeman going anywhere anytime soon, and I hope he doesn’t. They just extended his contract, they’re currently upgrading the facilities, and they’re committing more money to the NIL. They have an AD in place that wants to invest in the football program to make a National Championship possible.

I know some folks aren't a fan but I also like Freeman. I'm hoping he sticks around Noter Dame for a while and continues to be successful.

I don't like ND but I do like Freeman.

Kinda crazy that Louisville was better than Georgia this year.

Georgia got outcoached in this one.

I’ll have round 3 of the contest up tomorrow.

I think we now know that Coach Smart had a major distraction going into this one. I think Notre Dame is just stronger with Georgia playing QB #2.

Notre Dame was just lost likely better no matter who Georgia had at QB. This Georgia team wasn’t as strong this year as previous years.
