I thought the same about Weyer. Maybe he just got really hot during last March and by that time had already signed with Bellarmine. Give me a team with Carson Williams, Ben Weyer, and Jake Ohmer any day. You got yourself the makings of a good team. With that being said, NKU is doing pretty well for themselves.

The buzzer beater three pointer vs Campbell to send Scott to Rupp. Now 43 pts in the sweet 16. Real nice 10 days for the kid. He's approaching legendary status in the NKY. Just a fun player to watch. I'll throw out a name of a guy that played in the sweet 16 a few yrs ago that he reminds me of, a more athletic version of Trent Gilbert from Scott Co. Both could put serious points on the board.

If that's the case he'll be drafted in a few years. Hope to see him in the majors! 43 pts @ Rupp in the sweet 16 is no joke

Seems like every time it's supposed to be Ballard's year, Trinity beats them and ruins it. Whenever it's Trinity's year, Ballard returns the favor and ends their season. Happened in 2014 when Snider and Martin were seniors and everyone had them favored to win state.

Thanx everyone for the advice! On a teachers salary I agree with this 100% $200 is outta control. I would also drive back and forth before I would stay @ Knight's Inn after reading these stories. I know some teams won't survive the first few days of thr tourney but staying @ Knight's Inn might insure that, literally! I'm looking @ Days Inn. A short ride to Rupp and reasonable price. Anyone have any experience with them?

Three things stand out here; 1. Poor Trimble Co. Gosh, that's a brutal district for them. 2. To go from a #4 to a #1 Eminence must have some nice transfers "rumoured" to come in. 3. I say it comes down to Oldham Co, Anderson Co, and WV. I'm going chalk next yr. (for once)

Bowling Green has that experience. I say the semi finals will look like; Cooper vs Fern Creek Harlan Co. vs Bowling Green Cooper vs Bowling Green in the final and I picked BG in the pre-season so I'm gonna stick with them

I'm going for an extended stay in Lexington next week. Some players I'm looking forward to seeing are; Michael Moreno- Scott Co. Zion Harmon- Bowling Green Jake Ohmer- Scott Korbin Spencer- Elliott Co. Steven Fitzgerald- Pulaski J. Wilson and C. Patterson- Ballard The two teams I'm most looking forward to seeing are Cooper, who I haven't seen yet this yr but I've seen Cov Cath and any team that could beat them the way they did I am very impressed and have to check out. And also Fern Creek because I've only seen them once vs Doss in early December. The games I'm most looking forward to are Fern Creek vs Hopkinsville in that 1st round. I believe it's a rematch of a game that Hopkinsville won convincingly. And Collins vs Elliott. I've seen alot of the 8th region this past week and Elliott is a small school with a really good soph.

We have an old gym like that over here on this side of the river not too far from where I'm at called "the Pressure Cooker," bcos of no air conditioning and no fans. It's not quite as big as the Roy but when it gets too hot the ppl @ the top rows open up the windows to get some air. Its been around since the 40s I believe. Awesome place to watch a game, especially when it's full

To imagine what level I feel like McKnight is on, if Penny is an A, then this kid is an A-. Doesn't have Penny's outside shot or strength right now, but he's only a freshman. It will come in time. Those two went head to head last night McKnight more than held his own. Both should be 2 of the top 5 players next yr in region 8. Can't wait to see Zion next week @ Rupp and see what his game is about

Whew! What a game this was! One of the best I've seen all yr. Hated to see either team lose but thats the name of the game. Back and forth lead changes. Both Penny and Dom made huge free throws in last minute to put their team up 1. One thing I will say is the refs let the kids play in the first 3 quarters almost to the point where Dom might have rolled his ankle (but it was not being called for either team) and the 4th and final quarter the refs would call touch fouls. Penny hit 2 free throws with 18 seconds left (I believe) and Dom hit 2 free throws to put Collins up 1 with 5 seconds left. Penny drives the ball and gets to the rim in plenty of time for a contested lay up and it banks, hits the rim, and bounces out. What a classic game!i was very impressed with the freshman pg (#20) from Collins. He went head to head with Penny, was not intimidated, and held his own. The taunting @ the end of the game I saw clearly. A couple Collins kids went over towards the Anderson student section and waved bye within feet of the Anderson kids who just lost. I understand they're just kids and it didn't take away from a great game but you really don't want to see tha. On a positive note as I was leaving the Collins coach is running up to the top row crying to hug his wife and son. Meanwhile the Anderson coach is sitting on the bench with his head in his hands. That's what it all means in a nutshell. Both coaches were giving everything they had on the sidelines. A pretty cool moment. After 2 runner up finishes @ the region I have a feeling A.C. will be back to avenge some demons next yr. with, who should be pre season POY, Penny back. Did I mention it was a great game?!?! Wow

Correct me if I'm wrong but Collins has won every game they've played @ Henry County this yr. I believe they won that holiday tourney in December @ H.C. Sounds like a good game. Good individual players, Penny and Dom. Both teams hot beating the 2 favorite Oldham schools. Both splitting the regular season matchup. For no reason other than I got to meet @BigVMan23 @ the all A in Frankfort I'll go with A.C. 65-62. I'll see you all there and get some of that good food this time. Last week I could hardly concentrate on the game bcos someone right in front of me had a fish sandwich.

Haha, chill. I'm being sarcastic. Of course I know GC isn't on those other teams level but it's one positive to take after a tough, season ending loss.

I got to alot of basketball games in both Indiana and Kentucky but between the stats and updates he puts me to shame. Forget Mike, I wanna be like @Lawnboy13

Cat Nation be proud! Outlasted powerhouse teams like Trinity, Dunbar, and Oldham County. I enjoyed watching the Wilson kid the few games I got to see him. I will be there tomorrow night for the finals if anyone wants to meet up @ the Roy. I'm going to play the roll of Switzerland tomorrow and am completely neutral as to who wins. Just hoping for a good game.
