I would say Spencer is a top 5-6 player in the 2019 class along with Johnson, Tandy, Moreno, Rode, and Allen. And if u want to throw potential in there, Miles from WV. The '19 class is a good one.

I've got a good idea who this possible all conference transfer is. It would make sense. I'd still roll with Anderson Co. because they have been in the finals 2 yrs in a row with their best player back. WV should rep the 8th well in the All A, no shame in that. Will be a good 4-5 team race @ HC next March.

I do too. I miss the 7th region tourney being there plus it's a shorter drive for me and I could attend more than just the final. Just over the (non- toll) bridge.

I would say Anderson Co. would be my pre-season favorite with W.V. a close second but it's so early who knows. Who does OC have coming back? Someone on here mentioned they thought their best player graduated. Also, Carroll Co. started a freshman and had an 8th grader average 5-6 ppg. Haven't seen them play but will deff check them out next season. Who knows who will come out of that district with Carroll Co, Owen Co., Henry Co, Eminence, and Gall. Co.

Me too. I'm going to make it a point to go watch some WV games next season. Maybe they'll meet up with your Breds @ the all A in Frankfort. I'm counting on WV making the 8th real interesting come March.

So WV has Miles, Jones, and Clinkenbeard? I'm no expert on WV (saw them play once last yr) but they sound like they could be a solid top 20 preseason team and a potential class A favorite. My view on Miles was, I thought he was very good defensively and just as limited offensively. I didn't know his class so my thought was, I hope he's an underclassmen bcos he could be really good if he develops. I'd say where he's ranked right now if probably about right. It's based on his potential, which sounds like could be top 5 by his senior yr.

Indiana; Indianapolis- 843,393 Fort Wayne- 256,496 Evansville- 120,310 South Bend- 100,886 Kentucky; Louisville- 597,337 Lexington- 295, 803 Bowling Green- 58,067 Owensboro- 57,266 Covington- 40,640 Lots of basketball opportunities for kids in Indianapolis in terms of aau events, training, and coaching as well.

Curious to see where you would rank Stanley in the 8th. Ahead of Penny @ AC, McKnight from Collins, and the pg from North Oldham (who I believe is returning)? I would personally give Cobe the nod but there's some good pgs in the 8th. Not to mention some real solid overall talent in the region.

Exactly right. The LaLu kids aren't eligible for IHSAA basketball therefore not involved in any all star events, nor can be considered for Mr. Basketball. They aren't really even considered an Indiana school to us Hoosiers bcos most of their kids come from other states and don't even play Indiana schools (except New Albany this past yr but that is bcos they wanted to feature Romeo on espn). The original class of '17 was one of the best we had with Wilkes, Williams, Jackson, Scruggs, Roberts, but 3/5 moved to prep schools. The way it went down with Scruggs starting his senior yr @ Southport h.s. in Indiana is another story for another topic but interesting to say the least. But Hollingsworth will be the best pg on the floor in that game, and we dont have The Jake so you never know.

So the newest rankings are out. Top 5 listed; 1. Kyke Tandy 2. Zion Harmon 3. David Johnson 4. Michael Moreno 5. Jerome Reed I haven't seen Tandy or Reed but it's hard to keep Cj Fredrick out of the top 5. Could even see an argument made for Andrew Taylor and Steven Fitzgerald.

Stanley and Fox are nice players. The 8th won't have any world beaters but lots of solid and talented teams next season.

The center of my basketball universe is a sectional/ regional/ semi state @ Seymour in Indiana and @ the Roy in Henry Co. in early March. The others don't mean much to me, just names.

I only saw Miles 1 game this yr so I'm no expert but I thought he looked very raw offensively. Before I knew he was only a soph I thought, I hope this kid is young because he has a lot of potential. Only being an upcoming junior he will be a force if he continues to develop in the 8th region. His defensive presence and rebounding alone make him a force but if his offense catches up with his defense, watch out. I hope he does, could make the 8th real interesting next season.

No, we did that the 1st two years in '98 and '99 but the attendance was so bad they stopped. The attendance has gotten better (still not like it was in single class) for 1) Indiana ppl love their basketball second to none and 2) kids playing today weren't even born when they started the class system in '98.
