  1. How big is the gym @ Henry county, never been there. I plan on getting there around 5.
  2. @ least its not Wisconsin. They cant even chant "airball" anymore.
  3. For a small school like OC to make it to Rupp for the 1st time with a possible mr basketball is a great story. Once in a lifetime team for that community. Great group of kids too. Count me as a Rebel fan
  4. I'll see y'all there. Be driving down from across the river and try to get there around 5. Been on the OC bandwagon all yr, no reason to jump off now. Gimmie OC by 7 but certainly not an easy W
  5. The Rebels are runnin so far. That stat about Gallatin never losing a district game on their home floor is about to come to an end tonight
  6. Im going down to Louisville tomorrow night and deciding on either watching the Male @ St X game or the Bullitt East vs Fern Creek game @ Mercy. Which do u think will be the better game with better players? (Assuming fern creek and Bullitt east both win tonight)
  7. Sounds just as good any. Lets talk about which regions will be the most fun and competitive. Of course the 11th is top heavy with 3 of the top 6or 7 in the state, scott county, Dunbar, and Henry clay. The winner there will deff earn it. The 9th should come to the two Catholic schools. NCC and Cov Cath. I would like to see Weyer make it but cov Cath has too much and are a year a way from being the clear state favorite. The 6th year will be fun with doss and Bullitt east. usually the 6th takes a backseat to the 7th but not this yr. Either team could win 6th and make a nice run. In the 7th I have a feeling its Male's year but trinity or ballard at could take it, or st. X. The one region final I have to check out will be if Owen County meets up with south Oldham @ henry county. Never been to a game down there. I hope the schedule works out so I can check out at least 2 or 3.
  8. When you make the top play on sportscenter's top 10, you are deff a favorite to win region poy. Its been Trinity or Ballard in 5 of the last years (with Eastern winning the region in '11). It's Male's time
  9. It was a fun game to watch and be at. South Oldham didnt have any 1 guy that noticeably stood out but were all solid and go about 8 guys deep. They are deff shooters. I think the McDonald kid was the best 3 point shooter on the floor amd hit the big one with 20 seconds left. Owen will truly be tested @ henry county in the region. I was trying to come up with a good comparison for Carson other than its like any of us playing against 5th graders on an 8 foot goal.....I would say a more athletic version of Corlis Williamson, the old Arkansas Razorback. A rebounding machine and beast inside that can run the floor. Of course hes not an sec poy but on the kentucky h.s. level, thats who I came up with.
  10. Theres plenty of seats left. Idk if there will be by 7:30 but right now its fine. Missing some good games across the river for this one. Hope its as good as I've been hearing about. Carson Williams is usually worth the trip himself
  11. On my way from indiana, be there @ 6:30. Save me a ticket fellas
  12. I don't know about UK or UL but programs like a Minnesota for example or even Dayton would be a good spot for him. A school like Notre Dame possibly since he's a 4.0 student as well. I know for sure he'll work as hard as any guy @ NKU and represent them well. A great steal for my alma mater. On a side note, some smaller school at the D2 level should be looking at their guard, Toftness. Kid can play and shoot.
  13. The locals say you could rob a bank in Owenton the day the Rebels make it to Rupp. Everyone outside the 8th region should be Owen County fans and hope that Carson Williams gets to showcase why he's the Mr. Basketball frontrunner in Lexington. Most fun player to watch in Kentucky
  14. Very true. I am personally hoping for Owen County to make a run. They've never made it to Rupp and this would be the year for them to make it. Would also love to see Carson Williams play on the big stage in Lexington. Also, a kid like Tyler Sharpe or Jordan Perry could get hot and carry their teams. Just fun to speculate. Any potential matchups or players you'd like to see face off? The region tournaments should be equally fun and unpredictable this year.
  15. The brackets are out? Whats your predictions and what potential matchups are y'all looking forward to? The top half looks possibly much tougher than the lower bracket. Great chance for a smaller/unexpected team to make a run @ the final 4 or finals. Who knows the way this season is going! The 7th vs 9th region winner will be a great first round matchup. final 8 I will say Dunbar vs Mercer County Cov Cath/ Male vs Murray. (7th is virtually impossible to predict this yr. Just have a feeling its Male's year in all sports). Owen County vs Christian County and Bullitt East vs north hardin. Christian county vs Bullitt East and Dunbar vs Male/ Cov Cath winner. Dunbar vs Bullitt East champ game Out of my last 4 its possible none of them even make it to Rupp. Fun year!
  16. Sounds like New Cath and Weyer are legit. I hope to see them meet up with Owen County next Sunday afternoon. Weyer vs Williams are 2 of top 3 mr bball candidates
  17. Im considering going to this game. Sounds like everyone thinks it will be a good one. Will there be a problem getting tickets? What time should I get there. Never been to Lloyd
  18. The schedule says the game starts @ 6 tonight? Could this be right or is this just the start of jv? Thinking about going there and wasn't sure
  19. I almost expect these 2 teams to meet a third time @ Rupp for a state title. Havent seen teams like Mercer Co. or Christian Co. but these 2 are probably top 2 teams in the state. But they dont play games on potential. Should be a great tournament
  20. Would love too but Im going to Frankfort that day to watch the Indy/ Kentucky classic. New albany vs Lex Dunbar/ Forrest Park vs Owen County/ and Jay County vs Cooper. I believe Jan 12 Cov Cath plays @ Holy Cross. I will probably try and make that game.
  21. Cov. Cath will be there in the mix. They've been proven winners the last 3-5 yrs. I would give them the edge bcos of experience and a winning culture. But they dont play games on paper. It sounds like Holy Cross has a nice team this year and Cooper has already beat them. New. Cath has arguably the best player in Weyer and Holmes has McClendon who can carry a team. Let's all enjoy this unpredictable yr in the 9th region. I would love to come up and watch a few good gamesin this region these next few months. Any suggestions from those of you who've seen these teams?
  22. 1. Romeo Langford- New Albany (Ind.). This kid is a future NBA player and is a top 20 soph. in the country. 6'5 and is smooth. His fifth ranked Bulldogs visit Frankfort on Jan. 9 to play Lex. Dunbar. 2. Carson Williams- Owen County. Seen this kid 5 games and he's so much fun to watch. I compare him to a poor man's Bill Walker. Best dunker I've seen @ the h.s. level in yrs. The team is also pretty good too. 3. Tyler Sharpe- Bullitt East. I just go to see him @ the KOB but he's the real deal. Deff. the kind of player that can lead his team to a state title in March. 4. Kyle Guy- Lawrence Central (Ind.). Indiana's Mr. Basketball front runner has signed with Virginia. He also visits Kentucky on Jan. 9. They play @ Taylor County with Ind. Cathedral, Taylor County, and Fern Creek. 5. Quentin Goodin- Taylor County. I just saw him 1 game @ the KOB. He got to the basket whenever he wanted and will really thrive in college.
