No, I came over here last yr. when Owen Co. was playing in the districts.
So Gallatin's best player is out? Smh. This is deff. not the Anderson Co. everyone was expecting at the beginning of the yr
I'll try and give updates after each quarter as long as my phone continues to have service here in Warsaw. Just by watching warm ups I'll say Anderson Co. by 10.
I think you're right. They have rarely got to play @ full strength for most of the season. Whoever gets out of the 9th (safe to say Cov Cath, Cooper, with Dixie having an outside shot) has a good draw @ Rupp and a state championship run is deff. possible.
The South Laurel game I believe Fredrick was out, who is arguably their best overall player. Aiden has improved so much since the KOB. When he misses a shot it's a surprise. Walter is improving in the post and has a few offensive moves to go with his defensive presence. Cvh not only held onto Ohmer most of last night, he's money from 12-15 ft. I appreciate good basketball and it will take someone's A game to play with CCH.
And I saw Paris on Sunday, although they are a good small school team and fun team to watch.....in 9/10 games Cov Cath beats them. Paris doesn't need to worry about Cov Cath. They will have a dog fight with Campbell Co. for the 10th.
69-21 after 3rd. I'm not a Cov. Cath guy. Just calling like I see it. Scott is not Cooper, but it would take a grand effort to take the 9th from them this yr. I'll drive up to the Bank in March for that matchup
After 1 Cov Cath is up 24-8. They're looking like a machine running on all cylinders (even without Fredrick). Ohmer has 6 for Scott. Ruthsatz has improved alot since the beginning of the yr. Hes automatic from 3.
Cov. Cath it is fellas. I know Fern creek is the truth but I want to see what this Ohmer kid is about. Plus the crazies always add to a good basketball environment. I'll try and keep it updated after each quarter.
Good meeting u all too @BigVMan23 and @Lawnboy13. You have to excuse my semi pro knowledge of Kentucky basketball, I was trying to keep up with you fellas but it's like learning a different language. I just started following games and teams in the Bluegrass since roughly 2010. You're welcome over the river anytime. My New Albany Bulldogs and Romeo Langford are worth the drive and price of admission.
1st time @ the All A on championship Sunday. Following Owen Co. last yr. I know how much these smaller communities take pride in their school. It's a great chance for them to make a run for a title without changing the winner take all format in March. I truly wish we had that instead of the 4 class system in Indiana. Seemed like a quality event and I'll be returning in the future.
Question for anyone from a smaller school, would you rather win the all A tournament or win your region in March and make it to Rupp?
First time seeing Paris I was highly impressed. If they had a guy 6'6 or 6'7 they'd be a state contender. The first half they were lights put and playing as well as they probably can. They cam back down to reality behind the arc in the 2nd half. I went away feeling the better team did win, it would be hard for many teams to match that quickness and athleticism. If it comes down to Campbell Co., Paris, and Scott I might have to make that trip next month. The 10th will be a battle. Thanx for the southern hospitality @Lawnboy13
Idk who wins bcos I haven't seen either team play this yr. but I plan on making the trip south across the border to Frankfort tomorrow. Hope to see a good atmosphere, good teams, and a close game. I was honestly expecting to see Lex. Christian or Elliott Co. play tom. but Paris had other plans
Didn't know this was a rule in Kentucky. Seems to me like the games in Louisville, the warm ups are more like dunking contest.
In Indiana it's a no dunk during warm ups rule too. Dumb
I listened to the whole game on the Cov Cath radio. Great jobs guys! Made the game very exciting. It sounded like Ruthsatz was the leading scorer for the game with 20 (last time I heard). Once everyone gets healthy it should be even more of a fight come March @ the Bank. I won't miss that one.
I completely agree with 4pointplay, D2 is really good, especially @ Bellarmine. the example with Ruthsatz is spot on. Would Nick put up these type of #'s @ Scott? Would Ohmer be able to lead a loaded Cov Cath team to state? Who knows, but the Ohmer kid can play and he will be going to college for free @ some school, @ some level
Bellarmine would be a great fit, high level D2 is a perfect combination of winning, playing time, and his skill. NKU is just a bit of a stretch I believe defensively and quickness.
