Perry County Central's size clashes with Scott's speed. Which team prevails on Friday afternoon?

If Scott can hit jumpers like they did tonight(Jake Ohmer) then they can win. I think scoring in the paint will be hard for them but if they can score consistently from the outside then Scott can win. I'd press Perry County Central as much as I could. They have great size but their guard play is a little suspect. I think they are two somewhat evenly matched teams. I think this could be a great game also.

Scott will have to make jump shots to win. Not impossible by any means, but Ohmer won't get as many looks at the rim against PCC as he did tonight.

PCC's ball handling is something that could hurt them in Scott's press. If the Commodores can manage to neutralize Scott's press and not make many turnovers they can win. If not they will lose.

Plus Scott will have to be stroking the jumpers because PCC doesn't allow much scoring in the paint.

Scott won't have a problem with a team that has size as long as Ohmer is on it they win.

I look for Scott to advance. This team is playing at a high level and Coach Fro has gotten his players to except their roles. Survive and advance.

My 10th Region guy told me Scott doesn't press much but that could change tomorrow. Especially if they get behind.

Yes but when Harlan County beat PCC Anosike and Akenyemi didn't play in that game. When they played in the WYMT Classic PCC had them both and they won by 16.

I agree that PCC is clearly a better team than Harlan County. But they can take periods of looking bad, which almost cost them a trip to Rupp in the regional finals against a young Knott Central team. Had to come from 10 down to win a double OT game.

I don't think KCC could beat Harlan Co, but they almost got their rivals in their biggest game of the year.

If PCC's guard play is suspect, than Scott will get their points in the paint from turnovers. Otherwise, Ohmer will need to be at his best from 3 as PCC's will shutdown the penetration and hustle putbacks that have been the Eagles bread and butter all year.

Well, I had PCC over Harlan in the 2nd round, so may as well stick with them over Scott too. PCC creates a LOT of mismatches with other teams because of their size, but they have a couple of big weaknesses as well. If Scott isn't normally a pressing team as mentioned above, it's probably because they aren't all that good at it (that would be my guess anyway) or maybe aren't deep enough to try anything with regularity, I don't know. If that's the case I don't look for them to change from that too much. A bad press can do as much harm as a good press can do good.
