I root for DeSales because my son is a graduate and it's short walk from my house... but also root for Doss (alum) and for Holy Cross (Lou.) Because know many of my friends are connected to the school And I root for the underdogs!

We played Providence some years back, wouldn't mind seeing that game again...like the Newport Catholic idea too, But overall I like the schedule we have been playing in the recent seasons, Tuff teams but yet we can compete with them. Playing a Trinity type team would only get somebody hurt and playing less than competive teams doesn't improve your skills.

Wireman, Adstimes, I know one thing your Coach Cleverer did a heck of a job last Friday against LCA on that comeback win. You got a great argument with the claim of Coach of the year. And I know that Coach Davis has his young Colts one game away for DeSales first ever undefeated season in school history and it was against a strong schedule too. We're lucky fans to have such coaches to tudor our boys in football and in life.

St.X will be a daunting task for the Colts. X is arguably the 2nd best team in the state this year and will geared up to complete with the likes of Trinity next season. We should be pretty strong next season too. Win or lose as long nobody gets hurt I'm cool with this match up....

I like hearing that DeSales Dad...losing to a historic 6A powerhouse by 1....hmmm not much into moral victories but I can see what ya saying sir...

Danville (10-0) deserves the top billing with that win over LCA. Nice coaching job, to comeback from a 21-7 deficit to a 44-28 victory says alot, on the road at that..... The Colts have put up some points against less than superior talented teams, but there D has to carry the bulk to make a run in the playoffs.

Agree Jumper....only thing I can see in our benefit is that we don't have to travel to the Tennessee border for a game like we did a couple of years ago (Monroe Co. .I believe) ...a long drive....saw more deer then I could count....

If Colts take care of business by dictating the line of scrimage, then they should complete the elusive perfect regular season. That's nice but I think they want more then that.....

Impressed with both teams, either one of these teams could easily win it all. Van Cleave is all that, man his burst of speed is incredible. Really liked LCA, the way they spread the ball around, they will make a lot of teams struggle badly... And thanks to the folks at prepspin, they do a great job!

Leave districts alone but cut back to only 2 teams from each district. Cuts playoffs 1 week and sets up Championships on Thanksgiving weekend which I miss. No more 0-10 traveling miles to play 10-0 teams...just my 2 cents worth. Indiana model is not bad too, play 8 weeks and then start playoffs, everyone gets in and you get a least 9 games and it would get the Championships back to Thanksgiving weekend.

Remember that CAL had just lost their QB that week of the NCC game, not much time to adjust. Trust me, the Centurions are still good without Carr. Even better with him.

2A with 5 teams in a top 25... #10 DeSales, #11 Mayfield, #15 LCA, #18 Danville and #25 CAL not too shabby. Should be a wide open title run.

Let's see...you could have a small school league with Lou Holy Cross, Cov Holy Cross, DeSales, Country Day, Ft.Knox, Ft. Campbell, Owensboro Cath, LCA, CAL, Lex. Cath.,Bishop Brosart, St.Henry...but you would only have 3 teams in the Large League St.X, Trinity, Cov.Cath...did I miss anyone ? Combine Private wouldn't be any fun...

I'm still remember that 2015 loss down there. Any one who makes it to War Memorial is in for a dogfight. They have been there before and they always expect to win no matter who they face. So yes they are always a contender because they got football in their blood, their coach is a winner and their fans 'super' surport the Cardinals....Just ask Toothpick, Snakesnot and others who come on this site, they can tell ya better than me!

Crickets...chirp chirp...okay I'll go first. You can switch up the top any way you want. And I take anybody lightly in this week's top 10. I went on Calpreps game predictions and set combinations of the top 5 and got nothing but close games. For what its worth department, they us had losing to Danville, LCA, and barely getting by Mayfield and CAL...the other games had a scramble of results acording to whome yout placed at home. Oh well, its only as good as the paper it was printed, nothing.
