I feel the same Sinbad 74, it does take some courage to go against the likes of CAL and DeSales every year....woof! I think back in 14' we were to play Fort Knox, they had only a handfull of players to go up against us. They cancel the game, thank God ! The year before, it was 21-0 before we could get in the gate....Sometimes there is some mismatches that I cringe on. It would be neat to Trinity's coach Beatty to take over at a Shawnee program and see if he could change the program....I remember Bob Redmon taking over Waggoner after leaving Ballard and in a instant 'Boom' they were a team to be respected...Maybe we should cut back to the top 2 teams in a distinct to go to the playoffs...0-10 vs 10-0 or 1-9 vs 9-1 games...it would get the finals back to Thanksgiving weekend.....oh well

CAL D is legit, they pass cover very well. Run defense is also good. Don't take them lightly or you will be disappointed. Their punter is excellent as he kept us backed up. They did miss handle the snap the first couple times they punted, but he was able send the ball long,..maybe the best I seen this season. I thought that their QB flip the ball in desperation late in the game that resulted in a,fumble return to their 4yd line whichthat set up our final TD...but i would like to see the replay on it. Final thoughts, we need to iron out some things on offense to help sustain drives. And when CAL get their QB Carr back, look out !

Agree with ya Spartanbasketball...don't count them out. Man they are big, at least a half a head taller than us per man.The exception being our 2 Offensive tackles. A shout out to DeSales defense, did a good job of keeping Wright inside the pocket for the most part. Colts #87 is going to be just fine, came up with some big time tackles. And that One handed grab for TD #2 was pretty sweet.

I agree Fan24....but if it going to happen...sooner the better. That was a tuff break for ya'll last year with only a week to prepare. Now Wright has got one heck of a QB coach which happens to be his head coach Lafors and he is already played 2 games and had several weeks to get it down. No it's not the same without Carr and Wright at the receiver position. But you got the rest of the season to make changes and workout the kinks. Not such a bad thing to have possibly the best football player in 2A touching the ball on every offensive play ...the kid is such a great athlete. Just got to caoch/play as if he's not going to be there.

I put this info from Jason Frakes of the CJ on another thread, which I think best fit here. He reported on their app that Carr is ineligible for the regular season. That he may return in time for the playoffs. Coach Davis of DeSales said that the Colts have trouble with running QBs. With Wright at QB, he touches the ball every play...hmm

According to the CJ, Carr is ineligible for the regular season but could come back for the playoffs.....With Wright at QB, means he touches the ball on every play. DeSales's coach Davis says we have trouble with running QBs.....per the CJ

Don't know, not a clue....he didn't play in Newport Catholic game or Meade County game last Friday. Hope everything okay with him.

CAL impressed me with that win over South Oldham to start the season, and has only made me flinch just a bit with the loss to Newport Catholic without starting QB Carr. Do they get their QB back this week?...If they do then they won't miss a beat and will be tough to defeat. And if he is out, the Wright kid will have had 3/4 weeks of Coach Lafors (one of the best QB in UofL history ) 'enlightenment' under his belt. Either way, I expect another classic battle this Friday....The Colts have slowly but surely improved each week. Cut down the penalties and mistakes and ya got a decent chance to knock off the defending champs..... GO COLTS !

I like to see long drives with ball control, limit turnovers and defense contain the passing attack to short passes (don't get burn on long passes)......Go Colts !

The East just may have caught or even pass the West ??? All I know is it seem to be a much more balance between East - West then has been in awhile... which should very fun tournament!

Guru, I wouldn't doubt Trinity's Power.... they should beat much much smaller schools. Trinity has 1400 - 1500, DeSales 300, that's over a 1000 more boys to pick from. Heck Tinity may have 300 - 400 more boys than Male. Nobody but St.X should have a chance to beat IMO....not even Cov Cath.
