Big game in Danville last night when undefeated Danville (5/6 grade) played undefeated Woodlawn Elementary (Boyle Co school system, 5/6 grade) in a little rain and cold. Woodlawn - 14 Danville - 0 These kids will be battling for several more years and played a great game last night. Very high level of coaching and play for young kids.

Curious...what game did you observe Boyle County MS?

Boyle and Belfry are 1 and 1A IMO. Boyle has called off the dogs VERY early on nearly all their games...Belfry has shown the ability to dominate too. It really means nothing right now and I (for 1 of MANY) can't wait for the 3A playoffs. Gunna be special!

Having gone to school at Woodford Co with several friends that wrestled...let's just say, it takes a REAL MAN to wrestle and I can say that because I played basketball.

Belfry is a great team and is solidly in the top 3 contenders in 3A, but what happened in past years is irrelevant and should have ZERO impact on this years rankings. I'll say: 1-Boyle Co 1A - Belfry 3 - Central 4 - LexCath 5-PT/Caldwell winner

Fundamentals should be taught in youth league thru high school...that should never stop. Our middle school is rolling and ready for the transition to high school football. They will be able to help VERY early on.

It is vital for the high school coaches to be involved in football that feeds their program...ALL THE WAY DOWN TO YOUTH LEAGUE. Our middle school teams are running MOST if not ALL of the high school terminology and plays. They do that to get a head start for when they get there. Many of the high school coaches watch the middle school games and film. Even our youth program is following the direction of the head high school coach. That is how we've been so successful over the years.

No, unfortunately. We have a common opponent in Anderson Co. I think they just played last Saturday. I have not heard the final. Anyone know?

I picked Central in a close one...mainly because of the QB situation for LexCath but I wouldn't be surprised if the Knights won.
