Is the top three going to change the rest of the season? Boyle County, Belfry and Central seem fortified where they are. Can anyone move past them? Is Russell back on the road to dominance? Where should Bell County really be? Who else should be considered for the top 10 of Class 3A?

Expect Belfry to take a loss, maybe two, the next two weeks.

Two very high level Out of State opponents. If Belfry goes 0-2 in that stretch I could see them moving down a little...by that same token if they somehow go 2-0 they immediately put themselves on similar footing to Boyle County and may even have an argument for #1 .

If LexCath beats Cooper I think they do a lot to keep their name with the best of the best. Caldwell and Tilghman is a huge game with a chance for one team to make a statement.

Biggest 3A game of the year in the West! Paducah Tilghman at Caldwell will be a great game! But possibly the first of 2 for them.

No matter what happens in those two games, I don't see Belfry dropping further then three. That's if, IF, they lose those games. I think Boyle County being number one is taking some of the eyes off Belfry.

Is Russell back on the road to dominance?

It will be interesting to see how the Russell/West Carter game plays out. If Russell wins, but it's close, does that say more about Russell or West Carter? Does a West Carter win put the Comets in the Top 10? I think Russell should win but that will be a game I'm watching this weekend.

I think Russell has to be the favorite. With that said, West Carter is a much improved team. West is capable and has some nice players. Russell should win by 28. But, West could have something to say about that.

That is quietly a HUGE game.

Most likely that will be the District Championship in Region 3, District 5.

You win and you get Home Field Throughout the playoffs. You lose and you go to Belfry in Round 2. Lot on the line for a game this early in the season.

Bell County should be #7 or #8 .

IMO, Garrard Co should be ahead of Bell Co.. At 4-1, with their only loss being a 1 point loss, 31-30, to a ranked and undefeated 4a Shelby Co team, should have merited them more consideration, imo..

Not only that..but if you really break the numbers down I think Garrard has the two best wins of the lot when comparing against Corbin and Bell.

None of the Corbin wins impress me at all, and only Wayne County sticks out for Bell. I would consider Wayne a wash with Rockcastle (Who Garrard beat more soundly) and truth be told Madison Southern may be the best win of the lot thusfar (Madison Southern crushed Bourbon County)

Care to give us some justification as to why?

I can probably see the argument for moving ahead of Corbin, but give me some argument for moving past Russell.

If LexCath defeats Cooper and then Boyle County in a couple of weeks then they should be #1 .

Belfry shouldn't fall below #2 regardless of what happens in their next couple of games.
