Can we start with your best player? I feel it's Damon Lowe. Didn't he go to Our Lady of Lyndon? Let's not play this game... Playmakers at T are recruited to play there. It's a fact. Great for them/
I saw Mingo Central play Ballard last year in this tournament. It was an entertaining display of athleticism! Mingo Central?...didn't know what to expect until I saw the lay-up line. The Dixon cousins put on a show. I believe both are playing D1 bball now. Definitely worth the trip last year.
I'm betting DeSales will be ready. Quick question... Is tuition the same at X, T, and DeSales? As Trinity and X continue to load up on rec league players- DeSales can bring in some talented CSAA kids who want to play and get a great education. Their rabid fan base had me sold on their future long ago.
Trinity and Ballard both lost a ton of talent...but with that being said both have excellent coaches. Say what you will- both teams get after it on defense and that can be attributed to both coaches philosophies. Coach Bibby at Central can flat out coach too...Talent points to Waggener. Can talent trump coaching? Its possible when your bigs are 6-5, 6-8 and 6-6.
Eastern will be much improved. Male may not be worthy of being #3. Seneca will not be better than St.X. Central will be really good. Waggener has much to prove. Is there a region with a better set of coaches?
Lacrosse is now replaced football as the sport of choice for many kids in Jefferson county. It now offers kids a school season and a club season. I witnessed the Ballard Seneca game last Thursday. Senecas biggest kids were on the sidelines in street clothes. One player was a drummer in the band. It was their homecoming and their stands were about 20% full. Mostly parents and homecoming participants. Pretty sad.
I predicted T would beat Male before the game. Never felt so good about being wrong. T fans are laughable...and delusional. You get smoked by Male and complain that your schedule is too easy. Go find some more rec league talent for the future- then upgrade the schedule.
