  1. I agree with Call it Like it is most of the top talent in NKY and throughout the state have reclassed at some point and there is nothing saying this cant be done. Since we are talking 2023 class and Meyer specifically, yes he is older but when looking at some of the top talent in the 2023 class, Reed Sheppard, Ryan Davidson, Ayden Hamilton, Colin Porter, Jack Edelen among others all have reclassed. I would assume that this is pretty common with all classes and not just the 2023. Congrats to Jake and the other Freshmen who are making immediate impacts for their teams!
  2. In response to DukeDog. I agree based off the head to head and St. Henrys overall resume they should be #2, however I do understand why PP1 would have Conner #2. I doubt anyone that didnt see this game would know Conner was without a starter who averages 8points and leads team in rebounding. Not sure if this would've made a difference in this game but I do think it would provided another scoring threat and a extra body to compete against St. Henrys dynamic duo. In addition Conner has only two losses this year when having everyone available (Cov Cath and Harvest Prep). I dont think any team not named Cov Cath would see this as a dream match up come regional if both are fortunate enough to make it that far.
  3. First for me also! It was quick and honestly I didn't leave there thinking either team had issue with how game was called. Perhaps the limited amount fouls is because style of play. HC gives you a lot of zone looks and little to NO man to man defense. It would be interesting to know if this has historically been the case with HC this year. I know this should be for a different thread, sorry!
  4. @ The Double Deuce- Not only were there only 4 fouls on Holy Cross in this game the first one wasn't whistled until midway in third.
  5. Does anyone have the results on the games yesterday?
  6. I could be wrong but I believe they had 3 losses last year to NKY teams St. Henry, Holy Cross and Beechwood JV tournament. Pretty impressive run over last few years!
  7. You are correct on the Image but if the dates are wrong on their schedule then so could be the locations, lol. Cov Cath/SK should be at Highlands at 1:00. Holmes/St Henry should be a SHAC at 1:00.
  8. Wow that didn't transfer very well. 1/11- at the SHAC Ryle/Conner- 8:30 - Heard this game will not be played and they will use district game for both. Cooper/Scott- 10:00 Beechwood/Boone- 11:30 SK/Cov Cath- 1:00 at Highlands: Highlands/Dixie- 8:30 CC/Newport- 10 NCC/HC-11:30 Holmes/St. Henry1
  9. Schwartz did not play! I don’t know exact minutes but if i were to guess Niece played 3 quarters or little more. It’s really clear that He isn’t a 100% yet. In my opinion I think he played to much in a very physical game that had little meaning as a non district, non region game. Best of luck to him as he continues to make his way back.
  10. Did Dayton host their annual Holiday Tournament this year? If so does anyone of the list of teams and schedule?
  11. Bottom line, is Maddie Scherr ok? I hope this is a minor set back, will Maddie be back to action tomorrow, the game is better when she is playing!
  12. Kentucky 4-0 heading into Scott/Shroder game- Scott warming up looked like they were down several player, perhaps football.. @Cooper_fan - yes Cov Cath loss second half by 4 or 5- Oak Hills has a nice club and Cov Cath really spread the minutes around.
  13. I caught part of the 2nd and all of the third between Loveland and Highlands. It was competitive but Loveland Specifically Jillian Hayes was to much for Highlands in those two quarters -
  14. Im guessing you have watched very little of Kayla! In my opinion she is a top 10 player in her grade! I do agree to your point on Villa and look for her to possibly move on after this year. In regards to Fusion basketball, I challenge you to find any girls basketball program in the state of Kentucky that went out played the schedule Fusion played! You wont find it.
  15. Unless something has changed I don't believe that Gibson (7th grader) followed her brothers foot steps to Holy Cross, for at least now anyway.
  16. I think we will know more after the scrimmages but I anticipate the following 8th graders to get meaningful varsity minutes some point this year: 1) Kayla Unkraut- Villa- Top 8th grader in NKY and one of the top in state! 2) Sarah Baker- Ryle 3) Julia Hunt- Holy Cross 4) Anna Hamilton- Conner 5) Ballyshannons outstanding 8th grade class has brought several up to JV and Fresh, I wouldn't be surprised to see one of two getting minutes at some point.
  17. @ Double Deuce, I 100% agree with you! Very few will know who he is seeing he played very little or none at all last year with injury. I watched him on the court a few times this summer with several of the top players on this list and i walked away talking about him. He will make a nice impact this year for CCH.
  18. After what I have been hearing I would go Cov Cath 1!! If It doesn’t happen then I go with Male as pre-season favorite!
