Agree totally with this take! To think Cooper ranked in upper middle of the state doesn't even get out of districts! You would think there would be a better way but not sure what it would be, there will always be some left out!

I figured there might be more attention to this topic but maybe its because tryouts are just now taking place or maybe its just girls basketball! I have one that could be a major impact for the state. Final 4 participant Cooper Jags adds 2024 Damysia Knox out of Cincinnati who holds an offer from Dayton Flyers. Jags essentially bring their entire team back from a great 2021 state run Damysia could propel them to next step!

I’m not from NKY and I also don’t know much about the mass exodus of mountain folks to the 859 but I do know with this schedule I could easily see myself sitting in a gym for 9 hours! I really Iike the parings this year!

Holy Cross has been speculated for weeks!

Why not 1) I think It could be 3 plus years minimum 2) Holy Cross this year if not then have no idea 3) I think this is a very realistic possibility and could happen in next two years 4) NO 5) Pre June yes, post June NO. HC had a really nice transfer from Wester Brown, Ohio who would’ve made immediate impact for the Indians, I’ve heard he has already left the team. He Could’ve been a really nice piece for HC, averaged 16 plus points a game as a Fresh at western Brown and looked like a really nice prospect at SK summer games!

I think this group is still a year maybe two away from being a regional contender! The to be Freshmen are very talented yes but there is still a lot of work to be done if the goal is to compete for a regional championship. I do however believe if they are still together as JRs and their games continue to grow they will have a real chance to represent 9th in state.

Javier and Sam both played. HC had a new face or two that will contribute. Sam was moving better and showed increased athleticism! West Clermont transfer will start, his impact will be dictated by how much Jake gets everyone involved! Nice size for a guard! I expect HC to be very similar to last year!

Highlands looked and played like Highlands. It appears they have split their team up into two teams, possibly even split the projected starters for balance from what i could tell. The "Blue" team was solid and very competitive! Seth Ryan looks to have put on some muscle and really stood out to me! Size seem to be the only issue.

Conner won both halves- First Half was tight, Second was not. Jake Meyer did not play

I can comment on the following games: SK/Newport- Split SK winning first half and Newport storming back from 6 or 8 down with a minute or so left to take the lead in the final seconds of the second half. Conner/NCC- Conner winning both halves Conner/SK - Split SK winning first, Conner the second.

Let’s not forget what “could or will” be coming in! Some have been confirmed, some are still rumored! HC will not only be a high favorite for the All A but they will also be a major threat in 9th region! If Meyer can find a way to get more involved then watch out for what this group will be capable of! It Will be a interesting summer maybe we learn more in A few weeks when June scrimmages start!

I dont think this is a rumor. I do believe there is something to this one and i understand this could happen as fast as this year. With that said I wouldnt be surprised if he decided to stay though. Going to be interesting. If football is the reason for the move would Cov Cath not be a option?

I like the Camels in this one by 8-12. I dont think Ayden Hamilton will be held to 8 or 9 points on 8 attempts this go around. I think he will be more aggressive and ultimately be the difference. Should be a good game regardless with the winner getting another shot at playing GRC. yikes

Does anyone know if the 9th will have available streaming? I know there are a few audio only options but not sure about video.

Forget the “all star”conversation let’s go with if Highlands, Cooper, Dixie, Conner could add two players to their current roster what would result be! In my opinion all 4 teams plus 2 would win more then lose. Love It @B-Ball Fan you knew what you were doing with this one!

Great topic, adds additional support to the respect Cov Cath deserves, but I think there are a number of combinations that would beat Cov Cath this year on a regular basis! Cov Cath has a big 3 and they are a tremendous big 3 but after that 4,5 and reserves are no where near what you could put together from a region 9 all star team!

I know how I would respond but I’m not @B-Ball Fan Conner is finally almost healthy! They have played back to back games for the first time this year with their starting 5! I’m looking for them to make a district run and ultimately a deep a regional run! Can’t wait for next 2 weeks!

@Baseball Nut 24is spot on as usual. I think both teams showed very early that someone other then Hunt or Hamilton was going to have to step up to beat their respective teams. Hunt was double, some times triple teamed every time she touched the ball down low and Hamilton was pretty much face guarded full court for the majority of the game. Hunt draws so much attention that the Indians can be a really dangerous team if they are making shots! Last night they just didn’t fall for HC and Conner just had to much help around Hamilton! Good Luck to both teams rest of the season!

Hamilton did not play against Dixie either. Conner like most teams have had their share of set backs. Conner has started just one game this year with starting 5. They are a tough out when all together.

The large crowd was treated to one heck of a game in Edgewood. Very competitive game that had a regional feel. I could be wrong but i dont think the lead was over 6 by either team. Ayden Lohr for Conner finished with a game high of 26. Good win for Dixie who will be a handful in Districts and the 9th regional! Congrats to the 8 seniors on their senior night!
