  1. @raiderbird- thanks for clarifying, obviously I'm hearing second and third hand- It must have been a heck of a game regardless!
  2. Sorry Tiger fans - 6th grade Beechwood edged Highlands by 1- I guess the ending was a little crazy!
  3. I can help with 6 grade- Ockerman over woodland Highland over beechwood Conner over CCounty Camp Ernst over Summit View Grant County over TwInhofel
  4. Big matchups tonight- Beechwood-Highlands Conner-CC Woodland-Ockerman
  5. Can't wait to watch them play over the next few weeks!
  6. Yes I acknowledge they were very good last year, but they did lose a handful of games.. I have heard from several individuals how great the team is this year, not just Kentucky Joe- I was just wondering if they had any add ons or if they just keep improving - I can't wait to watch them play again, I watched 3 or 4 of their games last year and they were fun to watch!
  7. @KJ- Did Ockerman 7th add any players from last years team or did the same group of players put in the work over off season that created the improvement?
  8. I agree that this thread should be started- Let's start by providing any updates from Monday nights games and any upcoming matchups to look forward to later this week!
  9. Received another report from a Highland fan at the game! 8th - "taking nothing away from Conner, but I wish we had everyone"! Conner played very well! 7th- Barth was to much in first half for Conner-Conner kept the game pretty close but end up losing by 5 or 7- 6th- Was wondering who number 4 is for Conner- He made some big shots in first half and controlled the game the last quarter- Conner won by 13-
  10. @kyag- i hear Conner had Highlands last night, typically a local power at all levels! Do you have update for 6th,7th and 8th?
  11. In 6th grade Highlands, Woodland & Beechwood showed they will be tough outs for anyone and each should give CC a good game! Conner and St.Pius have some nice pieces as well, St.Pius will be much improved come January! The 6th grade kid from Newport that easily stood over 6' tall could be a force some day if he keeps playing. He really runs the floor well for his size and with some work can be really good. In 7th grade, I thought both Highlands and Woodland stood out above the others.. The scores of the games really didn't reflect the talent these two teams have- both again will be tough outs at end of year-
  12. Now with the Erlanger Classic behind us. I was curious who and what teams stood out at each of the grade levels? I watched several 6&7th grade games and was very impressed with the overall talent!
  13. Would anyone have a copy of the schedule for this weekends classic? I understand that there were some changes to The Thursday games-
  14. Just one mans opinion- 6th grade- CC, St.Pius & Woodland-Beechwood should have nice team, this group has been playing together for two years so they have already been tested- 7th grade- Camp Ernst & Highlands 8th grade- i don't have a lot of exposure here.. Look forward to watching a lot of games next weekend-
  15. "Nationally" probably used loosely, more like east of Mississippi!! I know they played in all the large tournaments, playing more then 15 games against Coast2Coast top 25 rankings! It will be nice when the boys program gets to be like the girls and bring multiple teams to the traveling venues!
  16. Extremely interested where the boys programs goes!! The Program had several boys team from Northern Kentucky this year but only one to my knowledge that traveled nationally, and they were a 5th grade team! Looking forward to see where it goes moving forward!!
  17. I will see what I can do about help getting thread going. I Can't comment on teams older then 5th grade but here are some teams that I have watched that I feel are tops in state- 5th- Western Kentucky, Kings,Playmakers & Kentucky Premier 4th- Western Kentucky, Kings & Tarheels 3rd- Kings& Kentucky Premier
  18. Thank you all for the feedback- I appreciate and will pass the information along- In regards to the Stars team, we have a player that will not be with us for 4th grade state- We will be playing 4th grade D1 and 5th grade D2-The team you watched in Gtown will be at state- @SHS , we played Louisville Focus in 5th grade tournamnet and they are very talented - They beat us by 15- I did not realize Sheppard had 5th grade team, I thought his really good team was in 4th grade?
  19. Thanks Raiderbird, I hope you are correct, that is who my son plays for- I know there are some other teams out there that will provide a a stiff challenge but we look forward to it- Do you have any thoughts at the 3rd grade level? We have played several 5th grade teams and plan to give 5th grade state a shot?
  20. When joining this site I expected a lot more activity- I blame myself for not initiating more conversation- I was wondering now that we are a week away from state, who can help me with what to expect and who should I expect it from in the 3rd,4th and 5th grade divisions(D1)-I know there is a lot of talent out there at this age group but who would be the main contenders in each?
  21. Thanks for info JC70- I was concerned about the competition - The team my son plays for was formally the Kentucky Royals last year, we have done pretty well down at KBA, but we haven't faced any of the teams in this showcase- I guess we will see how it goes- thanks again-
  22. Good afternoon everyone, Im new to bluegrass prep so forgive me if this post was not submitted under the proper thread... We are starting the season off 75 miles south this weekend to play in one of the Showcase events at KBA. I was curious if anyone knows anything about the Swoosh, Whitley and Casey County 4th grade boys AAU basketball teams?
