This thread is dedicated to the ever growing grade school basketball fans. Post all scores and comments.

Playmakers 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade teams played in Knoxville, Tn this past weekend and all were solid with some impressive wins. Also played Thursday night at the Whitley County Storm and won 3rd and 4th grade games by 40 points. KBA bound on Saturday. 7 teams playing with most all playing up a grade against older kids, should be interesting.

A lot of the better 5th grade teams from NKy like the Ky Bulls, Gametime, NKy Thunder, and NKy Force are playing in the SWO League. Yesterday was the start of the league and Gametime beat the Thunder by 7 in a low scoring defensive game. There are some really good teams from Ohio also playing in the league. No easy games in this league that is for sure.

Do a lot of the teams up in NKy play up in the leagues and tourneys, raiderbird? Down in central and southern Ky it seems like most do but I know that when we(playmakers)go away for tourneys the teams always play their own age group and we usually get hammered by older kids. We went back to KBA this past weekend and played OK. Again the best 5 kids in each age played up a grader or two, so we had mixed results. I believe that we are coming to NKY for tourney early next year-I'll be looking for a scouting report, lol.

Good thread start, Jimmy. Lots of Bball fans with their kids playing competitive ball at younger ages.

This seems to be the trend to help your kid make the high school team.

No, most of the teams play in their own age group. I know the Ky Bulls played up last year in the SWO League but are playing their own age group this year. Their are a lot of good teams at our age group in Ohio.

We've got a couple of Tourneys scheduled in January in Northern Ky. Hopefully they'll be a lot of teams involved and we can get a sense of where our kids are developmentally against some good competition. We just came from a tourney in Tenn and they play on 8ft goals and move the free throw line in 2 feet. We played normal sizes and distances and either won/competed in each game but the talent was not their for the other teams involved. Nice 2nd grade tourney at the KBA tomorrow with 6 teams involved although I've heard that the Estill Co team has pulled out. Wonder If its because they found out that we were playing our best 2nd graders tomorrow instead of playing them up, lol. Scores to follow. Sorry Manny but we're in London, Ky but playing a couple tourneys in NKY. Good luck with your search, though.

The Ft. Thomas Royals 13U will be playing in the SWOL after school ball finishes up.

In 5th grade AAU action from the SWOL today Gametime beat the NKy Force by about 16. The NKy Thunder pulled out a huge win over the Ky Bulls by 4.

The NKy Thunder, Ky Bulls, NKy Tarheels and the NKy Force are all playing in the 12th Annual Christmas Classic @ Landmark Christian over Christmas Break. Should be a very competitive tournament with a lot of the good SW Ohio teams also playing.

Just got a text that Gametime beat the Ky Bulls 40-35 in league play tonight.

NKy Thunder vs NKy Force and All Ohio Purple vs Ky Bulls in the semi finals of the 5th grade division of the Christmas Classic.

Good tourney at the KBA over the weekend. A couple of out of state teams were there. Playmakers 3rd/4th combo team won the 4th grade division and the 1st/2nd team made it to the finals of the 2nd grade. Anyone out their familiar with the INDIANA INGOUISA AAU team? They are wanting my son to play with them in a tourney in Columbus Ohio and I'm trying to get a little info. Their coach is Eric Jackson. Any of you folks in Northern Ky heard of them? Thanks for any info.
