What happened to all the other boys that were on her team? Looks like there is only one left.

 

There are 2 different Royals teams playing at SOAS. One playing up vs 8th grade and the other in the 7th grade league. A lot of the kids from both teams have been playing together since the Fall league. Royals are expanding and getting a lot of interest from the all over NKY.

Bluegrass Stampede tourney at KBA this weekend. The 7th Grade KY Royals won both pool play games on Friday night. Beat Lexington Eagles 59-49 and Louisville Sonics 56-53.

Gametime beat the Playmakers 54-30 at the KBA today in the 5th grade division. I heard Mr. Sheppard was not very happy..lol

Gametime won all 3 of their games today and play in the quartefinals tomorrow.

KY Royals 7th boys advance to Semis beating wky Élite 57-44 with only 6 kids. 4 Highlands boys Starkey,Ginn,King and Macke along with Conner's Camp and Campbell Co's Harrod.

 

Macke had 17, Ayden Camp 15 to lead Royals.

KY Royals Fall to defending 7th Div 1 state champs 60-52. Royals shorthanded with only 6 players LED by as much as 10 in 1st half and appeared to lead 32-25 at half. Then a coach from KY Players decides to complain they had 2 more points and the 85 yr old scorekeeper who was with the KY Players agreed. KY Royal book only showed 25. Unreal event that changed from 7 pt to 5pt lead. The scorebook guy wasnt keeping Team fouls, complete Joke.

 

Royals down 4 with 13 sec had a Brandon Finn 5 footer rim out and then the fouling began. Great effort by all the kids. Highlands player Spencer Macke lit it up today in both games. He had to have 12 first half points. Logan Harrod Also made some spectacular plays. Conner's Ayden Camp had double digit rebounds in both games as well.

 

Finals pit the KY Players vs CKY Élite.

 

Watched another Semifinal game NKY Legends 8th vs The Truth and it was a barn burner. Legends Nelson Perrin drills a 3 at end of regulation with 2 defenders on him to send it to OT. Truth won in OT by 8-9 I believe. Hollis had a huge 2nd half for Legends, Kid is quick.

I saw that werent they 3-0 in pool play? 4 kids stay back as well for the Royals. If they would have had those boys I think they would have had the legs to get to the finals in the 7th Grade tourney.

Has anyone North received an invite or heard of the buckeye prep showcase? My son received an invite and I've checked out the website but wondering about the legitimacy of it especially for the younger kids. Thanks.

 

My son was invited a few years ago. He got three good games in against solid competition. When they interviewed him for the all-star game and found out he was from KY, the interview ended. We noticed on the website all the all-stars where from OH, with a few Michigan kids. He was pretty disappointed but was a great life lesson for him.
