Is this from the JV tournament?

Nope. Regular season. Beechwood moves to 13-1 on the year. Unfortunately, their only loss on the year came to a very hot Boone County team in the JV Tourney opening games.

Cameron Boyd is a really solid freshmen, good size, and plays with a lot of confidence.

He really turned it on tonight in the fourth quarter and OT. He hit a baseline jumper with under 10 seconds to go to tie it at 54. He's strong, got ridiculous hops, can shoot/create/finish, and has been developed by quality coaching. Very high ceiling. He'll be a fun to watch over the next 3.5 years.

A great game to watch as a fan. Both teams are very skilled, athletic, disciplined, and are well coached. Beechwood, with no player over 6'1", did an great job of defending and rebounding against a (probably) 6'6" Boydston. With his frame, his future is bright in that program. Other CCH players who were impressive were (please excuse mis-spellings)

McGillis - strong player and very capable spot up shooter from distance.

"Man Man" - PG who is quick and distributes the ball very well, good assist to TO ratio.

Lenhof - SG is lethal assassin from the 3 line. Don't let the skinny frail frame fool you, he can really stroke it and only needs limited space to get his shot off.

Read - that kid's motor is strong, he looked like he could have played another 4 quarters, he's non-stop GO.

It was fun watching some of the local kids grow over the years and play in that game. Both futures look bright.

Definitely! Boydston is a beast in the middle. Lenhof & McGillis dominates with their long range accuracy in 1st and 3rd quarters.

Fantastic game to watch. Great atmosphere for a JV game.

I think it’s been a very, very long time since CovCath lost a JV game to a Norhern Kentucky team. Am I correct about that? I think Newport Catholic beat them in 2016 was the last time perhaps.

Holy Cross beat them just last year at CCH.

St. Henry also beat them in December.
