Whose option should the Reds pick up?

Agree with the premise but I think Joey makes Hatte expendable. Whatever. :bunny: -

Highlands/Louisville Central predictions
h.s.sportsrbest replied to jbwill2's topic in KY Football (High School)
Highlands wins, but much closer than most think. Single digit margin of victory. -
Didn't practice for everyone start on October 12? How were those teams playing exhibition games last month? I didn't know that was an option -- September games? Why don't more teams take advantage of that for synergy purposes?

Question For The Reds Fans

Keppinger is not going to be considered an option to play everyday. -
Please. I just believe in "pay it forward." Do well by people who do well by you.

My haircuts are $12 and I give him a $5 tip.

Who do the Bengal fans blame?
h.s.sportsrbest replied to Qryche11's topic in National Football League (NFL)
Apparently many think that currency was counterfeit. Can't let the inmates (literally) run the asylum and expect to keep this town behind you. -
I give a $5 to whomever gives me the "we're done" look. On a related note, when valet parking, I tip $20 in advance and ask them to keep it close. I've had many friends that were valets and have heard horror stories about what they do to cars that don't tip in advance. Plus, you don't get it parked in some far away lot and have to wait forever to get it back.

Is your wife and mine talking again? We just ate there and had this exact conversation. My wife wanted me to leave a mortgage payment because they were going to need to steam clean the faux-carpet under our booth. As to the question, I tip a bunch. If the service is average I calculate 20% and then round up to the nearest dollar. If it is especially good or a server that I particularly like (like my friend Rachel at Willie's that many of you have met), I calculate 25% and then round up to the nearest dollar. If the server was ridiculous, not the service because some of that is out of their control, but the server was bad, I tip 0 - 10% based on attitude and other factors. And only when I have the cash to cover the bill - I'm not using a Debit card / Credit Card and making a statement.

The Monster Mash How can this be a valid question?

Question For The Reds Fans
h.s.sportsrbest replied to gametime's topic in Major League Baseball (MLB)
I don't think they'll trade Bronson; he is a serviceable starter at an affordable rate. Frankly, I'm not sure Minnesota would want a $10 million starter coming back in return anyway. -
Question For The Reds Fans
h.s.sportsrbest replied to gametime's topic in Major League Baseball (MLB)
Great, in theory. However, given the organization's stance on Jay Bruce (again, as I told you, they and their scouts view him as a Future Hall-of-Famer) they will not trade him. They wonder aloud about Hamilton's ability to be healthy and dependable and will not trade Jay Bruce. -
Question For The Reds Fans
h.s.sportsrbest replied to gametime's topic in Major League Baseball (MLB)
Bruce would never happen -- they won't deal him. I also don't think they'd trade for Johan without an extension in place. -
I need a QB for this week.

Edwards or Culpepper. -

No. You're talking about $45 - 50 million in three players. -
Question For The Reds Fans
h.s.sportsrbest replied to gametime's topic in Major League Baseball (MLB)
Okay, while I'm marking it down, so you're saying the Twins will keep him through his contract and then just let him walk? You think they are that stupid? You can't trade with BoSox or NYY at this point because they don't have enough young talent to deal. So for him to go there he'd have to stay in Minnesota and then just walk. If they let that happen they should be moved to Las Vegas. -

So which is it? Is it a "good pick" or "he won't last?" -
Question For The Reds Fans
h.s.sportsrbest replied to gametime's topic in Major League Baseball (MLB)
I don't think there is any question. Morneau is going to get $14+ per. Mauer is going to be, conservatively, at $10 per. That is 1/2 their payroll right there, forget adding another $18 - 20 per for Santana. Just won't happen in Minne-ha ha. -
Question For The Reds Fans
h.s.sportsrbest replied to gametime's topic in Major League Baseball (MLB)
A. He would be traded here, so he would be coming whether he wanted to or not. B. If your point is he wouldn't re-sign after '08, that is a fair arugment, however, I'd assume they'd work that out before the deal. C. They said Bronson wouldn't re-sing too. I get it, Johan is 5x the pitcher Arroyo is, however, the same thing was said. D. Harang's numbers at home are quite good and he had no problem re-signing here when he certainly could have busted the bank after his deal was up. E. Kerry Wood will be in the Reds' bullpen in '08, does he count as being in his "right mind?" -

I was dead wrong, I really thought Donny B. would get the job. Shocked. It's amazing what one good year, while alienating everyone above you on the depth chart, will get you. I predict implosion. Maybe Dusty can lure Donny here since we are fairly close to his hometown. Just hoping...he'd be a great addition in the clubby.
