IMHO: Trinity Male St. X Henry Clay Ryle would be in the mix with Lafayette, Scott Co., Warren Central, Christian Co., and Manual for teams that could beat each other on any given day.

Ryle had a great season, and a super run through the playoffs. Congrats on reaching your first state title game -- an experience, that when the tears dry up, will be remembered fondly by those boys forever. State Runner-Up is not a bad way to end the season. KY Post Team Some surprises. Kudos to Ryle's Scottie Gray who made the 1st or 2nd team both ways. 1st team D-back and 2nd team RB. Shocked to see Vince Murray only make the 2nd Team as a LB. Thought he may have made it over Domaschko, although Rob is a nice player too. Happy to see Pete Kayiatos make 1st Team -- was very impressed with him when I saw him this year. CovCath placed 6 kids on the 1st team, and add Nick Hudepohl on the 2nd team. (somehow, no Brandon Brown)

By the way, congrats to Ross for being named the 2nd Team Kicker on the No. KY Team by the KY Post. :thumb:

Fair enough, however, you have heard me say NOTHING but positive things about Vince. To the kicking point, when you make claims like that ("...several over 50..."), and they are exaggerated, it is simply a disservice to what I presume is a very good young man -- and a solid H.S. kicker. No reason to embellish when his stats are respectable all on their own. That is my only point. :thumb:

You don't know what I'm talking about? You said he had several FG's over 50 yards, with a long of 53. Didn't you? Well he's made 8 of them this year, and I've found 6 of them in box scores and the long of those is 40 yards. Hmm? Compare anyone to anyone, fine with me. Just be honest. Perhaps be open-minded. As you've seen in this thread, or another, I was among the first to say that Vince Murray is an absolute beast and a better college prospect at LB than Sam Flynn (from CCH). Didn't I? Hatred for Ryle? That is comical. I went to school with their baseball coach, grew up with him and his brother in Villa Hills early in life, and count the Ryle Ladies' basketball coach among my circle of friends. I go to Mass across the street, and root for Ryle all of the time. I love Union...thanks. It's your incessant chirping that has my attention...not the Raiders. Don't confuse things.
