Has Bill Code come out of retirement to coach Ryle? This has to be a 1/2 dozen games in the 30's. I am not familiar with their Junior or Senior class but know most of their Sophomores, you have some kids that know how to score. I'm not sure if it is their style of play or what? I would like to hear some feedback from Bgp'ers who have seen this team play. I might suggest You Tubing some old Loyola Marymont footage!

It was a very competitive game last year at St. Henry, but I think Lexington Catholic wins this by 15.

I was not in attendance, but I believe Northside's take on going with a smaller line up to amp up pressure is probably accurate. Dave Faust has never shown anything but class and has taught core values in the 3 decades plus that I have know him. If you going after "goon style" tactics, wouldn't you have left Kunstek in? The kid has the size to be a D1 linebacker!

Built like a linebacker! Dave always has teams play hard, they are just usually a couple guys short every year.

This was a prelude to high school, I saw Draud drop 66 against Boys Club in the Turner's Christmas tourney when he was an 8th grader. Probably a couple of the same players that would be on that Holmes team 4 years later when he went for 69. My dad told me about St Henry's Bucky Steffen scoring 46 in the 1950's. I'll always thought that was a great feat considering the era it done in.

I have attended a lot of sporting events in my life, this game ranks towards the top for excitement.

The 33rd district was a battle just to get the regionals. Dixie, LLoyd, St. Henry, Simon Kenton, Conner, Boone, and Walton.

I was listening to the second half on the way home from work last night. I thought they said St Henry had 19 and CCH ended up with 14 turnovers.

They said Whitefield played four white guys and a Egyptian in the second half!

Clyde, you were correct on going after Goetz, held him scoreless tonight. Kunstek was a probably a good warm up for the big bodies CCH will see this weekend in Louisville.

I think it is going to a rough night for the CRU. I agree with Clyde that they will go at Goetz hard. They ran out ST. Henry out of the gym last year and I expect similar results tonight. 78-42 CCH.

I went to see them against Owen Co., they like size and a inside presence. They have a couple of outside shooters. Sterling Hamilton starts as a sophomore, very nice athlete and should be a good player over the next 3 years. Would welcome any transfers that can play at this point. Kunstek will hurt them inside in district play.

I would have to classify that under of "getting it done"!

This was my first chance to see Carson play, he did not disappoint. I think he ended with 21 ish, but played in control and let the game come to him. Nice touch from the foul line. OC has a good squad.

When Beechwood was winning all of the titles with Mike Yeagle, was Mayfield in their class during this period? If not, who was their main competition? Would this have been considered a water downed Class A era?

The City of Union is only about 8 block area, the rest of it is annex to Boone County. I am not even sure Ryle is in city limits.
